Who are you rooting for? I find myself rooting for the particular coaches rather than the school or the players. I'm stuck.

    I completely admire Roy Williams.

I think Jim Boeheim has been long underrated.

Rick Barnes is a "local" guy who heads up UT.

The Marquette coach is an unknown but one of his assistants is fighting for his life while wating for a heart transplant.

I'm pretty stuck. How about you? Who's your favorite?

    Duh. :)

Actually, if we don't win, I won't be disappointed with any of the winners.

Also, I think the Marquette coach is in need of a lung transplant. I saw a story about him, and it killed me. :(

I'm going for Syracuse because they're underdogs, and I am semi-familiar with most of their players, unlike Marquette. Plus, I saw their coach on PTI and he seems like a good enough guy.

But yeah, that guy is dying and it's too bad. Hope for a lung transplant for him.

I'm rooting for UCONN. They are just awesome with their winning streak and everything.

A Big 12 final would be awesome and i think it's more reality than Syracuse vs. Marquette...

If the Horns win the next two games, I win my pool...

Bah, I knew you would say that.:p

So I had no idea this was women's ff also, but I'll say Texas will win that one.

    I wish:

    Men's Champion: Texas
    Women's Champion: Texas

    Likely:

    Men's Champion: Kansas
    Women's Champion: UConn

Agreed on both counts. Kansas will beat UT if and when they play, imho. Senior leadership on that team is stout, plus they've been put to tougher tests to date in the tourney than UT, so they're ready.

I also agree on both counts ;)

I want Texas to win both, I think their men have a good shot where the women have an outside shot.

I think it may favor Texas (mens) that they went into Lawrence and should have beaten the Jayhawks but didn't. Just like Arizona wasn't as motivated to play the Jawhawks as they were to play them.

Still, when I look at the numbers, especially FG% and points both given up and scored it is hard to not favor the Jayhawks to win it all. That said, I really think any team but Syracuse has a pretty good chance to win it all (Cuse could beat Texas if Texas is off-but I don't think they can win both games). Kansas is not deep and can be worn out. If someone gets on top of them I think they are in big trouble. Texas could be that team if they are hitting their shots early.

    I'm from 'cuse

    Boheim was in Blue Chips
Mike tirico was the voice for the orange back in the day
And Keith Smart can bite my ass.

Syracuse always get to the final game when no one expects them too, then they lose in front of the whole nation every time. Expect it again.

But go 'cuse! It's our year!

I hope that guy gets his lung transplant soon!

Now I'm in a pickle: Boeheim vs. Williams.

Did you see Boeheim's interview after the game? He said that he had told Williams that he was rooting for him so that one of them could walk off the floor Monday as a national champion.

    Go 'Cuse!
