In terms of pure acting, I think he was at his best in The Sixth Sense playing against type and doing it very well.....

He was really really good as David Addison in Moonlighting...so good, that I couldn't imagine him being cast as an action hero. But John McLane was definitely different from the action movie heroes of that age, because he was vulnerable. I remember seeing a movie poster for Die Hard at the old Town & Country AMC 10 and thinking..."huh? David Addison as an action hero?" I was very wrong. He was born to play that role.

I loved him in Pulp Fiction...but I think they could have found someone else to pull that character off. I'm grateful that he was John McLane.

I loved that show! I can't find it on any platform in any sort of high quality format. But it's up on YouTube, and I will occasionally check out an episode. The banter back and forth between Bruce and Cybil was just so well done.

Did he really deviate in any of those characters?

It's like he played the same guy in all of those movies just toned it up and down a bit.

That's not to knock him I loved him in all those movies but just not a lot of difference IMO.

I'm partial to Pulp Fiction and the Christmas classic.

Die Hard is the only right answer. Plenty of other great movies (and bombs) in his resume, but DieHard is hisbest.
