Mine as well. Every time I get one I think about my pops. I used to make fun of him for eating it when i was little.
I read some article talking about "things you should never order at fast food restaurants" and this was listed. An employee said they sit around for hours all day long and are rarely ordered. I assume if you are eating one for lunch...then it would be freshly made. Also, I guess you could ask them to drop one in the fryer and make it fresh. It sounds like bs to me. But, that's what it said in the article.
Their chicken planks are a secret shame of mine. Delicious with some malt vinegar. And very few non-fast food seafood places can make a hush puppy as consistently good as Long John Silvers. I won't eat fish there or @ McD's though... have to draw the line somewhere.
McDonalds is underrated, their Big mac, Fillet o fish and Nuggets simply cannot be duplicated. I like some gormet burgers, I even grind my own meat for burgers, but Big Mac will always have a special place in my heart, the ratio of ingredients and taste is perfect
Hellz Yeah!!!! I had this Double Filet-O-Fish in downtown Nassau, the Bahamas last year. It was FAAAANTASTIC!
I totally agree with you. I've always loved their chicken planks. I rarely eat there but, when I do, I have to get chicken planks. Much better than their fish imo. I also agree that most times out at seafood restaurants...they're hush puppies are usually pretty underwhelming compared to an LJS hush puppy. I hate how a lot of seafood restaurants cannot make a tasty hush puppy. It always seems to be made as an afterthought...like just straight corn meal and bland. I assume they must buy them pre-packaged frozen. Damn...now I'm going to have to go to LJS sometime soon. I haven't been in several months because LJS is an exception meal no doubt (or we'd all be dropping dead like flies otherwise).
I draw that line at going to McDonald's. Or LJS, KFC, Church's, Subway, Burger King, Arby's, and some other fast food places I'm forgetting.
If you think that's a kraft single then you are sadly mistaken. Great value is all they use I'm sure.
No, hell no, never been, and booo! Jack in the Box used to be solid, Ultimate Cheeseburger for the win. Had one 5 or so years ago and it was tiny, dry, and no sesame bun. That Jackhole messed up a perfectly good fast food burger.
