I'm with you IROC it and I'm sorely sorry for your loss. I couldn't read your whole post, maybe some day I will, you see, I too lost my mom on March 24th after a 12 year battle with cancer. just know, my thoughts are close to you today
Hey, bud... Anything you ever need during this time, give me a shout. The most we can do is support one another. Every surviving family member of such a tragic illness needs to know they too can make it. Just make sure you allow yourself to grieve. It's not selfish. It is natural. Time won't take away every memory's pain, but it will help. Peace be with you and your family.
Thanks for sharing IROC. I'm really glad you were so tight with your family and were able to express how much you cared for one another while your mother was still alive. So many people let the opportunity pass until it's too late. I didn't get along too well with my parents when I was younger, but I certainly made an effort to improve that as I got older. Today I have a very good relationship with my parents, even though we live 2000 miles apart. It's even more important to me now that I have a daughter with a son on the way this summer. Even when we irritate each other, we always know that there is love as well as blood that binds us together. Very inspirational post. Thanks again for sharing.
