That was Tom Coverdale, the PG, not Fife. I wouldn't mind Fife on this team, though. He's better than Shandon Anderson in that he can make the shot out to NBA three point range. He's been an excellent defender at every level. Who cares about Juan Dixon having a good NCAA championship game? Kobe Bryant had good averages against the Spurs and Kings, does that mean Bruce Bowen and Doug Christie can't defend? No. It just means that Kobe's a good player, much like Dixon was on the college level. One thing about Fife is that he is a very, very intense player. I remember Mike Davis actually had to pull him out of a couple of games to settle him down. He really has an outstanding will to win, and he's the type that will get in your face, dive on the floor, and do anything it takes to win.
Fife is okay, but his future in the NBA (if he has one) will be in a very limited role. Maybe he could take Tierre's spot, but hell, Tito just took Tierre's spot, so he might be out of luck w/ Hou. I have a question though. Where did you guys get the info on the Summer League invites and the rosters? - Thanks
I was born in Valporasio, and welcome any player from Indiana to come work out for the Rockets.(sorry Jeffries) Go Fife!!
