Brooks with a great first showing. He should be one of our starting CBs in Brazil. Bacon was solid. Nice spark. I would love to see he and Altidore starting along side up top.

Altidore... Can't say much else. Simply brilliant.

Also, someone should start an all encompassing USMNT thread.

WOW. What a game by Altidor and USA.

I couldn't believe the chance he missed to tie it up 1-1 around the 10th min. But man, what a turn around in the second half.

    HAT TRICK!!!

Fabian Johnson looks way better at LM than at LB. The U.S. seems so much better at a 4-4-2, with Jozy & Johannsson looking like a potent duo at the top.

Agreed that Brooks looked good out there, though he got torched by Dzeko (a world-class striker) on the last goal. Think he'll learn and hopefully be starting in Brazil. Also, hope Chandler gets it together at some point. The defensive backs seem like a weakness at this point.

Oh, wow. Jozy. THREE TIMES. WOW.

WTF, the European dudes seemed half-step behind the U.S. and A.

Like you said, Dzeko is world class so obviously he'll get the better of Brooks, and most every defender at least a little. Brooks held his own and even ripped him once. Not to mention Brooks is only 20. Very happy with how Brooks played.

Yeah, now that he is playing hard all game instead of in spurts.....his maturity over these last 12 months has really helped.

Blatter is the ultimate politician. Making promises and doing favors to get elected and re-elected.

Just move the danged cup, Qatar is not big enough to host it, and it is smack dab in the middle of the desert, unless we are going to play Camel polo it makes no sense.

Screw being PC, do what is good for the game.
