I think I'm going to get this on PC, if it is on pc that is. My PS2 just died. It doesn't read disks anymore.
Do you have to ask?????? DaDakota of course !!! And I am 41 years old, and retired, for a bit at least. I may go back to work later this year, just depends. DD
OK, I have discovered the "Y" button and the through pass, and that seems to be the ticket to getting into open space. Watch out brothers, DaDakota is on a rampage now. DD
Just picked up the game today, but I can't figure out how to change the difficulty. Any onoe know how?
Sorry DaDa...Iran would still win agains the US. I have to say my team is still slightly better than the US Team We have a much better team than the 98 team right now.
I just got this game, I need a week or two to practice then I will take whoever on in titanic online battles. DD you are mine.
IMO, you should never buy a FIFA game until the 1st edition after the World Cup. That's when they seem to put the most emphasis into improving the game and actual player rankings. I'll definitely be purchasing FIFA 07.
One question guys is there anyone here that is not a soccer fan that really enjoys the game? I don't care about NASCAR at all but really like the games because they are fun. I just love good sports games and really need a new game to play.
It's fun, good graphics & presentation, but i don't know if as a casual fan you could feel like you got your 60$ worth of value out of it. After playing it for a day, while I like it, I can honestly say that I'm going to wait till the Winning 11 series comes to xbox360 to buy another soccer game. Winning 11 just plays a lot more realistically (still) and is so much deeper, and the passing so much better. Plus there's some little things in FIFA that bug me, like you can't tell what position the guys play when you're subbing them, you have to go by their stupid "color coding" system. If only I could merge EA's full FIFA license and presentation with Winning 11's graphics & gameplay...
thanks Sam at this point I NEED a good new game to play to hold me over until NCAA 07 and will damn near try anything.
Really? When you go to the team management screen, my World Cup '06 game has initials for each players position- Like ST for striker, GK for goal keeper, etc. Is that what you mean, or are you talking about something else? I've never played Winning 11, so it very well could be much better. Guess I've always loved the EA football and hockey games, so I tend to go with what I know. With that said, I do really enjoy the game. It's helping me to learn more about the teams in the WC right now, that's for sure. I'm not very good yet, but I feel I'm getting better. I finally put up 3 goals with Korea last night after not being able to score more than once in a single game. I am practicing against patsies in 10 minute (real time) halves. Good lord, if I could stop getting players red carded and ejected, maybe I'd do better. The other day I was down to 8 men, so I'm getting better about playing straight up D rather than slide tackling teams to death. Anyway, any strategies y'all care to share? On O, i've been using the Wings Up and Counter attack...on D, I use the Offsides Trap a lot. Still experimenting with different formations, and I change those based on need within the game too, though.
What games do you have right now? The 360 has gotten some nice games within the last month or so (Table Tennis, MotoGP 06, Hitman). If you haven't given those a try, it might be worth checking out...especially Table Tennis, which is $40 IIRC.
I have not tried any of these games yet and actually don't know much about them. Has anyone here played any of these games and can give me an opinion on them?
I'm talking about the "quick sub" screen, it doesn't show it for the subs, I don't think. I guess I'll just use the other one Also, I'm too lazy to read the manual, but does "fitness" mean how tired they are? Winning 11 - I bought W11 8 for old xbox, and it was just a whole different universe. More strategy, more tactics, more everything.
Brent, you should download the demo from Xbox live - they only let you play a short half between USA and Mexico but it's pretty decent as far as giving you an impression of what the game plays like.
man I wish I could! I had to cut costs around the house and unfortunately the high speed internet had to go. I have played a soccer game before and enjoyed it even though I have never seen a soccer game in my life. To me if a game is fun then a game is fun even if I don't enjoy watching the sport. And being a HUGE sports fan that is why this game cought my eye and most people in this thread have seemed to have some positive things to say about the game so far so that is what made me really start thinking about getting it. Do you really need to know strategy to be able to pick up this game and play it? I would have no idea what the offensive and defensive plays would do but I am sure I could probably pick them up pretty quick. I would have to think that it would be better than table tennis.
