The changes aren't huge. They fixed a lot of little things that bugged me. Outside of that, it's very similar to 10.
I noticed the penalty kicks were way different. I had a very hard time kicking them now. There was something else that was different, but I cannot remember now. I'm gonna play the demo again and see
got this game yesterday and I think there are some big changes. first off,the passing is dramatically changed. Every pass needs to be 'measured' or weighted. You can no longer one touch a pass 20 yards down the line perfectly to a streaking teammate. Every pass needs to be charged up or else the defenders will close down a weak pass. This makes possession much harder but I've been able to score at a similar rate. It's tougher, but at the same time, you have much more control. When you fit a pass through a tight window, you really fit it in. You can also create angles with your passes for your guy to run to that will totally open up the defense, the type of passes you wouldn't be able to do in previous fifas as every pass is locked in usually. In essence, you have a lot more flexibility with passes. Your 'touch' or sense of the pass you wanna make is very important. also, jostling is more refined. I know in fifa 10 they improved this in regards to player size/positions and speed. This aspect is improved as a guy who is on your hip won't take the ball as easily. Overall gameplay/ball control and dribbling seems smoother. corners/headers are different but hard to pinpoint how. It seems more balanced but it prob has to do with jostling. PKs are also different and you can also play as the goalie (which I haven't tried yet but sounds fun).
Just bought the game... I am going to treat it as if I never had any FIFA game before... I will learn it "new." Add me on to your online lists if you want to play whenever I'm on... I'm going to try to practice first, so I'm not easily beaten.
One of my biggest complaints so far is the lack of a "Did not finish" option on multiplayer. I hate being in a position to win the game and then the other player backs out at the last minute to avoid the loss. It makes it very, very difficult to level up and FIFA is behind the curve on this badly.
if i'm not mistaken, you get the win if the other player disconnects or quits on you... my profile has a win/loss record, and i know i did not FINISH all those games, a lot of people quit when i'm up by a couple goals.
I played the demo for this yesterday and like it a lot more than FIFA 10, hopefully I'll be getting it in the not too distant future.
