Speak for yourself. I went to a public university with a great reputation for academics and isn't too shabby in sports either.

So where is your argument in putting them over Florida (If they win) or Oklahoma (If they win)?

That they got it done against Weber State? Whereas OU lost to Texas and Florida lost to Ole Miss?

I mean, they sure deserve a lot of praise, but nothing in your argument presents a good reason for them to be ahead of Florida or OU.

He is speaking for himself, because UT has a great reputation for academics and is a great sports university.

Utah didn't lose a game all year.

An argument for why they deserve praise and deserve to be up there in the discussion, but a lackluster argument for them to be National Champions. Boise State went undefeated in the past, did they deserve the National Championship? All things considered, you can only put Utah up there with the top 5, you cannot crown them undisputed #1.

    Try again.

the biggest play of the game was giving up the 12 yard TD run to ohio state with 2:05 left. i was scared to death we were just going to stuff them and watch them bleed the clock and kick a gimme for the win. our only chance was to give up the TD as soon as possible and go for our own TD, especially since we had been moving it. and with a little bad coverage by ohio state, we slipped in the game winning TD. damn it feels good, even if we got screwed out of the title game*. 3 BCS games, 3 classic finishes, all wins by us. sometimes sports are worth watching.

*using this game to say we didn't belong in the title game is ridiculous. there aren't a bunch of top 10 wins on the resumes of ou, fla, or usc. losing to ole miss isn't exactly a great qualification for the title game. and if we're so bad, losing to us can't be good for your resume.

Lol, so being undefeated and defeating quality opponents such as Alabama, TCU, BYU and Oregon State doesn't count.

Utah would beat Texas handily. Texas had to have the refs help them beat the second best team from a pathetic conference

People that use this game for that argument are probably leaning towards the anti-UT fence. I think it's laughable to assume an Ohio State team with one of the best defenses in the country, a star RB, and a major chip on their shoulder due to previous bowl failures wouldn't come into Phoenix and play their hearts out. Was it as impressive as I hoped it would be for UT? No, it wasn't. Was it still impressive? Of course.

Anyone that says Texas, USC, and Utah don't deserve some consideration is wrong. Especially if OU barely edges Florida. All three of the other teams will be right up there.

What happens when penis envy and penis envy collide? Is that truly the definition of a sausage fest? Rocket Mac and Bigtexxx.....in the "Piss In Your Cheerios Bowl."

The whining is so unbecoming of you both. Don't get me wrong- we totally expect it, damn near crave it.....But it's so passe.

LOL at Rocket Mac calling UT an embarrassment when the aggies played like Ass all year. Again. Maybe they will still win their bowl game, though, and finish in the top ten. When is their game again? I can't seem to find it on my TV guide. But you know how "off" those are sometimes....

So what about Texas's and OU's incredible strength of schedules? Schedules that FAR surpasses Utah's. Arguing against that is borderline idiotic.

As for beating Texas "handidly", you're kidding right? You just magically assume this? Am I arguing with a brick wall here? Are you incapable of logic?

    Me too.

This was the Tech game in reverse. We outplayed them all game, and they screwed up clock management at the end (sort of). I knew 2 minutes was enough time for Colt. I knew bigtexxx would be throwing a hissy fit. I'm pretty sure Quan even dreamed it in his head.

If their touchdown drive takes 1-2 more plays, they could've bled it all the way down to a minute or so. Would have changed the complexion of our drive entirely.

You are such an aggy. Pulling out a win in a BCS bowl game is always cause for celebration. I don't care if Tostitos sponsored it -- it's a BCS bowl game. Maybe you just don't get it, because the aggys will probably not play in a BCS bowl in your lifetime.

Also, TCU and BYU are quality opponents, yet Ohio State is some laughing stock of a team? If that isn't ridiculous bias, then I don't know what is.

Texas beats OU, Mizzou, OSU, and now Ohio State, but those wins pale in comparison to Utah's amazing schedule?

OU beats Cincinnati, TCU, TTU, OSU, Mizzou, and if they beat Florida(Who beat Utah's marquee win), those wins would all fall beneath the great Utah?

    You're kidding right?

great way for quan to go out. colt is the man, and gideon needs to move down on the depth chart.

i didnt read this thread, but i saw bigtexxx leading the way with 21 posts and i know exactly how it went.

i think they were running the clock down on almost every play. we just sucked too much to stop them so they scored quickly. whereas against tech we kept snapping with 20 and 30 seconds left.

it would be hard to tell your RB to fall down if he gets the first down but i would've thought about it if i was tressel. in the end though, we had 2 TO's and if they only get a FG, we only need a FG to win, so you have to take the TD and assume we don't somehow turn an 8 yard pass into a 26 yd TD. but it was still great that they scored.

I know Ohio State isn't exactly chopped liver, and they do in fact have a decent defense and running game.

Still, despite my disdain for the Big XII, I expected better from Texas. Needing a last second touchdown to defeat a Big 10 team that previously got dominated by Penn State was disappointing to say the least.

Ah, so basically you have no real argument compared to what I just said.

Like I said, you have a solid argument for why Utah should be up there the rest of them, but there is no argument that can put them, or any other team, ahead of the rest. That was the mess of this year's BCS.

classic, 'let me hurry up and change the topic because I am rapidly losing my argument' tactic. Even though it's below the belt, you brought it up.....

(not even close to the p*rn tramp I posted a pic of in that other classic fail thread.)

don't worry, I'll do it for you......the entire thread is here, as I stated in that thread, I wasn't trying to hide anything, it was a total fail by Jesus with a B for trying to be an internet superhero, and I admitted I made 2 mistakes in that thread.....but I never tried to pass off my own daughter as my wife.

    keep posting Cheetah........and stay classy.
