DD, I really respect you but please don't bring your bias against players that you don't like.

I still think Dorsey can be a solid second unit C, which is what we drafted him for. JT is young, but has a great work ethic and all the tools...

    Pops is just a beast!

You've been anti-Taylor since you heard his interview on draft night and concluded he was a knucklehead because all he talked about was scoring. But he effort and attention to detail on D during summer league was quite good I thought. But it was his court vision and passing ability that caught my eye. He just needs to clean up his shot selection (which I think he'll learn quickly) and he'll be ok and in the rotation this season, imo.

True, he seemed pretty bad in speaking to the press which made me think he was somewhat stupid.

And in Summer league his form on his shot was horrendous and he couldn't get by fringe NBA players which made me think he was even worse.

But, Landry sucked in SL and he has been ok...so I will reserve judgement, but I do not have high hopes for him.

Well you can glean some things from it....like first step quickness, passing to the open man etc....

But generally, I agree with your sentiment.

It's official then: Jermaine Taylor will be a good player in the NBA. Mr. Reverse Kiss Of Death has given the official opposite prognosis; whoever he likes will suck, whoever he doesn't like he'll flip flop later and develop amnesia on his original take. :D

DaDa, You have passed on your pass to "reserve judgement" on JT.

Pops has no help out there. This looks like it could be a great pick up by DM. He would be a perfect compliment to Tracy actually...

Pops just looked like a point guard stealing the ball for a fast break there......no dunk tho =(

?? how would someone like Pops be a "PERFECT" compliment to Tmac??? Is Pops gonna be on the receiving end of many of tracy's bullet-accurante alley-oop lobs or something on the fastbreak?

Much like Carl Landry. Pops fills the holes very well and can catch and dunk with the best of them...

Chuck Hayes did a great job finding the holes, but, well, you know what happened...McGrady has always been fantastic at finding his PF's under the hoop in scoring position...

We have yet to see him play in an NBA game...

He 100% straight DOMINATED SL. What do you expect him to do?

10 Points/15 Rebounds/3 Blocks... What is not to like?

yeah he'll be much like Carl Landry except he may have even more dunking opportunities due to his longer length and being more of a banger inside with no outside game to come out of the immediate basket area for...not to mention his good injury record..McGrady had been awesome at finding big men Cs or PFs thats for sure...but Carl Landry's offensive arsenal is much better and wider than Pops at this moment and so I doubt Pops will even be integrated into our offense at all.....other than garbage baskets and stuff lyk that..so I don't think he'll be anywehre near as good as Carl....Chuck Hayes didn't get a shot in more than once every lunar eclipse..........

from what i've seen so far in the game, eliyahu looks like a decent lengthy back up PG/SG. anybody know whats the deal with him? do we still have his draft rights?
