FIBA rules is not an excuse though considering Team USA has won titles with the rules.

Like these are the best players in the world, unless they change the rules so much they are playing a different sport it really should not mean they are losing.

You are right about the floor general thing, they do get Jrue Holiday whenever the finals are over so that should help with that.

Team USA is missing James Harden to run the offense

Are Booker, Jrue and Middleton what Team USA needs? I feel like the lack of a proper floor general is going to be a massive weakness even when the roster is filled out with the guys playing in the Finals. Is it too late to add Chris Paul?

It's weird to have this happening while the Finals are still in progress

IMO everyone should sit out. The NBA just crammed 2 full playoffs and a regular season into 14 months. Play in empty arenas in another bubble in Tokyo? No thanks. Durant is crazy to risk this.

Most of these guys forget that you can actually score from within the 3 point line. I only caught the 2nd half of last night's game and all I saw were a bunch of 3s chucked when the paint was wide open for them to operate in.

KD is not Lebron who would have yelled at them to take the high efficiency shot.

    KD is a beta leader.

I expected these guys to, at least, be aware that they have an open lane to the basket pretty much every time. I will assume that they're just using these exhibition games to get a better "feel" for the FIBA basketball, court, rules, etc. Otherwise, seeing Tatum passing up open baselines for easy dunks for corner 3s is kinda ....bad.

So they were playing like it was a NBA game. The NBA got what it wanted now the US National team is getting their ass kicked by teams that shouldn't come within 30 of them.

it was also crazy how easy Australia was able to get into the paint but I guess that's not surprising given that this USA team has little to no defensive presence inside. Like why did you feel like having Kevin Love was a necessity when you could bring in a defensive big instead?

this is the USA’s C or D team and not that well put together

no one to effectively run the offense

Why do u need both Beal and Lavine?

The corpse of Kevin Love? Darius Garland? Really?
