When did Puerto Rico become part of Europe?

    In his own mind.

In the first round it will be put up or shut up time for Rudy. In the playoffs last year, he barely showed up most games.

Rudy would be great in NY. Mike D could use him at the 3 spot and move Gallo during stretches of the game at the 4 spot. Rudy is a stud. The problem is he can't accept being a role player. He wants more minutes and a chance to have the ball in his hands. It would suck for him to go back to Europe but we'll see.

Didn't J.J. go to college up in Boston and live in Miami?

Oops, my bad. Forgot about that.

I was thinking about BEFORE Puerto Rico seceded from Europe! :p

One incorrect country reference doesn't change my point that the generalization about Euro guards not being able to play in the NBA is not necessarily well-founded.

I disagree about Fernandez not being able to be a good defender. I think he certainly has the ability to defend well at the NBA level. Personally, I see him as a clear upgrade to Budinger on the wing. He'd make a great sixth man on the Rockets, able to push the tempo with the second unit (a Lowry/Fernandez backcourt would be an absolute BLUR) and able to handle the ball while paired with Brooks. He's also gotten his fair share of minutes at SF, so he could possibly play alongside both Brooks and Martin for short spurts.

If the Rockets could get Fernandez without giving up too much, I'd be all over it. Then, they could use Budinger in a Bosh sign-and-trade or another major trade this summer.

Please Morey. Please bring him in.

I love Trevor but I'd trade Ariza for Fernandez.
