Those individuals aside though we see the incoming administration hiring people primarily based on partisan and ideological reasons. When FEMA, NOAA and the National Hurricane center singled by unqualified ideologues while also facing major cutbacks just be ready next hurricane season.

 

Trump who lives in Florida will make sure relief money gets to Florida. But when there are forest fires in CA or the Northwest, the administration may not fork over the relief funds. Trump already threatened that. His plans seem to include not treating all Americans the same. Does anyone think that will help bring the nation together?

Pretty deplorable of FEMA. Can't have that type if attitude and directive when you're an organization built to provide emergency assistance in times of needs paid for and by the people of America. You are trained to handle being in situations such as what happened in NC...no excuses.

 

Only military and police are trained and expected to go into potentially hostile situations where things can escalate to violence. And they’re armed.

FEMA workers are trained to know not to make blanket assumptions due to a small group of individuals to deny assistance to a majority group of Americans. There are the police and military personnels that can accompany them if they feel such situations are needed.
