I've had a instance with a guy I know (not friends or anything), but there's a bar close to my house that I often go to so I know most people there and that particular guy we would chit-chat/converse play pool every now n then. Anyhow few weeks we were talking about population in Houston, n all I've said was - they say there are 7 million people here but there's probably about a million illegals. Immediately he was like "I don't like that term", and the whole vibe changed instantly. All of my life in Houston everyone (even the Mexicans) referred to them as illegals, I guess thats not socially acceptable anymore, its undocumented immigrants.

When it comes to transgenders and/or gay people, that you've mentioned in your previous post, most people don't have an issue with it, be w/e you wanna be. Where they draw a line is when it comes to woman's sports, (I personally wouldn't want my daughter fighting one), and sex change for the underage kids, especially if the parents are pushing them to do it.

In some ways yes. And in some ways no.

One strong benefit America has to prevent fascism from officially being the ethos of our nation is that we aren't a new democratic Republic like Germany was. Decades of strengthening institutions and checks and balance systems means it's a lot harder to install a full fledged fascist regime in this country without severe push back.

But in many ways it does resemble 1920s Germany with the white majority feeling threatened by demographic shifts, prominent right wing politicians becoming mainstream witn their scapegoating hate rhetoric blaming all the nation's problems on migrants and what they consider non whites like the Jews as we all know.

Black people are proud of their race because they learn history of what their ancestors had to overcome to get to the point where they currently are.

Black people didn't chose to be designated as specific race to justify their free labor and justify not allowing them to partake in our economic system equally. So out of that lack of choice is a certain element of pride of overcoming that lack of choice.

Humans created the concept of "white". God didn't change the cultural norms of eventually having Italians and Irish be under the umbrella of "white".

In 30 years a lot of people who see them selves as Latino will see themselves as white. You see this with many Jewish communities also in the West.

Also not shocking considering MAGA were threatening harm to FEMA workers. If the admin took that position for the safety of the workers, I don't condone that, but I do understand why.
