Who cares if it's preseason, at least I don't. All I know 100% is that I felt a steam of joy watching Knicks lose.

NY is a huge market. Just look at all the games they have on national TV. They will do/say whatever, mostly half truths, to make it look like what the Knicks did was the right thing to do. But whatever, it's not a big deal, the important thing will come down to performance.

Respect is earned by play, not by cute little sideshows that everyone knows is an act.

Preseason record does not matter. They simply testing the new players and plays. If the Knicks lose on Nov 1 to Net, Nov 2 to Miami, Nov 4 and 5 to Philly. I'll jumping up with joy.

They are the oldest team in NBA history!

How are the Knicks going to score enough if Amare is constantly injured? They will have the ugliest grind-it-out low-scoring games.

yeah. but ugly grind and low scoring has been their identity for many years. D'Antoni years felt too weird. time for some ugliness. now if they could only make their defense great..

Screw the NY media. They will ignore Lin when he plays well, and openly gloat when he doesn't.

And you could take the best players from the Knicks and Nets and still not be able to win the East. :)

That game [Kicks vs 76'ers] The Knicks were playing to "win", know what I mean, they were trying to win. Melo's MPG, Woodson eye starring down the refs, over a bad call. They wanted to win.

If they wanted to win and couldn't, that's a lost, nevermind if it's recorded or not it's a true lost.

I know. I know. Just wanted to give Woodson a break.

Woodson wanted a veteran-laden roster. He got his wishes.

Big problem now, the vet came with experience but easily injury prone.

Copeland now is his favorite youngster!:p

Yes, but the Knicks will finish the season below Nets. I give a slight edge to the Brooklyn team. No deep analysis just gut feeling.

The thing is, the Nets aren't that good, either. The Knicks will probably finish above the Nets if Melo and Stat don't play significant minutes together due to injury to either. I just don't think the Knicks can win much with both Melo and Stat healthy: They just give up too much on defense with both on the court at the same time.

Although with Jeffries betrayed (on the account of having Lin's stench on him) and Camby ailing, they may give up too much on defense no matter whom they play. Wouldn't it just be a peach and a half if the Rockets make the playoffs and the Knicks don't?

This will never happen any more.

The Rockets will be in the NBA Finals and the Knicks will be eliminated in the first round!:):):)

Hehe, you must be an ex-Knicks fan -- who else can have that much vitriol for a non-contender team.
I hate Miami because they're good. (not to mention, douchebags and floppers.)

I too wouldn't totally discount it as a preseason game bc NY was throwing their best against the Sixers scrubs and still lost. The game was at Syracuse, Melo's alma mater, so he was certainly trying his darndest to pull out a win. He was still chucking it himself even after getting double and triple teamed. That team looked like a wreck, and oddly like the worst of last year despite the new personnel.

Too much trying, sometimes, you just have to let it flow. Come on... Those are sixers 2nd and 3rd stringers. Forcing shots not gonna give you the W. well, it is the melo way and people still wonder why he has no rings. He can not lead a team, can not elevate team mates. It's gonna be a long year for the win now Knicks.

Uh btw, people complaining on Lin threads, media attention, guess what: sixes are breasting the preseason, on this game that they win, they complain why no love for their team, all video highlights are for the loosing Knicks! Smh. They are even promoting reading Bleacher Report. BR man, they get their juices at BR coz no one is talking about them. Talking about relevance. At least we have white and the rookies, asiks contract (and performance), lastly we have the player-who's-name-can-not-be-mentioned.
