    Its not a tear.

I love T-Mac, but I do think that his pain tolerance is quite low. He isn't nearly as tough as Battier or Chuck Hayes. Those guys are nails.

Can you say 7-5 instead of 6-6?

    :D

But I would like him to wait until it's healed. If he aggrevates it and tears it comepletely or something...

    I've always said 6-6 is better than 6-76. ;)

it's "microtears" that is common in ever strain/sprain. people need to relax. if he's going to tear a ligament tomorrow, it's going b/c of another injury probably to another part of his body.

exactly what I said earlier. He is already practicing so he is playing against Dallas barring some setback.

Different body types, but I agree and disagree. Maybe he needed to be checked out in the Lakers game before they decided to let him play again.

He did want to play in the last couple of games but they wouldn't allow him to. Tmac is definitely no iron man, but some of the criticisms are unfair.

Stacey McGrady will be out of the game by the 1st Quarter with a recurrence of the injury requiring him to be shelved for the next 10 weeks.

Dude is soft as tissue paper.

So tell me, what injury has held him back other than back spasms? You do realize he played 78 games his first year here, and 71 games last season (majority of the ones he missed were at the beginning with back spasms).

Next time do a little research before you post nonsense.

Uh he has been here for three years, not two. But you are right, if we don't count the season in which he was frequently injured, it does not appear as if he has missd as many games due to injury.

Over the last 8 seasons, McGrady has had only 2 seasons in which he's played less than 70 games. By contrast, Kobe has had 4 such seasons.

I'm not saying T-Mac isn't more injury prone at this stage of his career, but I do think it's been exaggerated greatly by the media.

His point was that the thing that has caused him to miss significant time is his back... People act as if he's some kinda pansy that can't handle injuries when this is really the first one in a while OTHER than his back to cause him trouble, and it only kept him out of action for like four days.

I seriously don't understand how some of you guys call yourself Rockets fans (no, not necessarily talking to you, Sam). In my book, supporting a team, means supporting its players unless they either are truly painfully terrible, or they do something to disrespect the city or bring shame upon the franchise/sport. It almost sounds like some of you want this injury to linger just so you can be right.

I'm with you. There are a lot of people here who dislike some of our players, especially Tracy, Yao or SF, and will gleefully and repeatedly point out every flaw they can, sometimes for the purpose of building up their favorite player in comparison. It bothers them when one player gets too much credit (in their mind) because it isn't their favorite player. They can't see the forest because the trees are in the way. Fortunately, there are still a lot of us who are Rockets fans who cheer for Rockets Red regardless of which player is praised or criticized.

Watching the Mavs right now, I have to agree, Rockets are doomed

Raptors take a 24 point second quarter lead. Avery goes all haywire and changes things around, Mavs come roaring back, Dirk finishes the quarter with 4 straight 3 pointers, and Mavs have a 7 point lead at the start of 4. WOW

I just posted about this in the other forum. The blown lead says more about the lack of heart in the Raptors than the Mavs being great, though the comeback was quite amazing. Dirk going ballistic at the end of the 3rd quarter was incredible. But remember it's the heartless, gutless, soft Raptors.

I liked the way AJ yanked Dirk out 3 minutes after the game started and "coached" him a bit before returning him to the game. The Mavs heart and it comes from their coach.

We are doomed because the mucking favs are beating the Raptors? LOL!

Momentum carries my friend. I know how this Mavericks team responds after a big win like this.

ya the same way they choked away a championship after breaking through in a major way v. the spurs.

the same way they choked a first round series after a historic reg. season for the franchise w/ 67 wins
