Torn alignment on the knee is 8 weeks, but a slight torn alignment on the elbow is different. C'mon guys, chill and sit back and relax. Maybe he torn it after that night, went back home and lift his new born babe. LOL
An Elbow sprain sounds better than a torn ligament but they are the same. I know this because I had a worse injury than Tmac did. If you go to the link where I got this info it explains the Severity Grades(below). Looks like Tmac would fall into Grade 1. The injury I had must have been Grade 2 since it took months to get my full range of motion back. Granted, I did not work on it very well at all but I could not even bend my elbow for weeks. Tmac's is nothing like that. http://www.aurorahealthcare.org/yourhealth/healthgate/getcontent.asp?URLhealthgate="11882.html" An elbow sprain is stretching or tearing of the ligaments that stabilize the elbow. Ligaments are strong bands of tissue that cross joints and connect bones to each other. Elbow sprains are graded according to their severity. Grade1 * Stretching and some microtearing of ligament tissue Grade 2 * Partial tearing of ligament tissue * Mild instability of the joint Grade 3 * Severe or complete tearing of ligament tissue * Significant instability of the joint
I am worried that TMac with slight torn ligament injury may get worse when tries to drive to the rim a lot for dunk during the game. I think Steve should play more and initiate driving to the rim more.
doesnt seem that big of an injury. i think tmac would know if an injury is serious or not, and keith jones didnt say he wouldnt be able to play wednesday.
He is fine. He basically played a game today in practice. People are getting worked up for nothing. Anytime he is on the court, there is a risk of some sort of injury with him. He will be fine
Yeah, people aren't understanding that. Feigen should know this doesn't change anything. I guess he is just trying to stir things up and it seems to be working.
I remember the guys on 610 were discussing Ahman Green's knee sprain earlier in the Texans season. They said that a strain is a partial tear whereas a sprain is not.
i have bad feeling.... remember how his back spasm got aggravated 2 years ago? first injury, nothing big; sat out and rox kept losing; rushed back and got a few wins; then bang.... season over. rox has lost 4 games, but ppppls don't rush back!
If there's a silver lining, maybe this means TMac will drive more? He does tend to finish with his left as much if not more than with his right.
really hope you are right. but tmac may do stupid things because he cannot sit aside and watch the team lose. he did that before.
look at dwade's injury which was much worse. even w/ a torn ligament, wade could have played with sufficient rest (albeit u can tear it again and he did have surgery at the end). but had the heat advance further, he would have still played. tmac has a "slight" tear or a strain. the docs initially said a week. wednesday's game v. the mavs is a week.
a strain is a slight tear, everybody just needs to chill out. If the doctors clear him to play vs. the Mavs, I'm sure he's fine
This might affect his shooting form. It took him a whole season to regain his jump shot. I hope this doesn't force him into another year of poor form.
