He's one of those guys you hate playing against or hate watching your team play against because he'll use every little dirty trick to win.

Having said that it's a completely different story when he's on your team because you know he'll do whatever it takes to win.

    Okay stop fantasying...

Who here really thinks Malone wants to play for the Rockets. We probably won’t make the playoffs this year. If anything Malone is interested in winning a championship and playing for a contender. Rockets have not proven with this group of players that they are even capable of making the playoffs let alone challenging for the coveted NBA Championship title.

I think if Malone does not play for the Jazz the most likely place he will play is for Dallas. Remember Malone had some interest in playing for Dallas and Dallas had some interest in Malone. One of the problems was that Dallas wanted to trade Howard, which was a smart move, for Malone and the Jazz wouldn’t have that.

I say Malone to Dallas next season.

Malone could go to any team lacking a decent "true" PF next year...

    Dallas (moving Dirk to SF...:eek)
Houston (Eggie gets to ride the pine again :))
Lakers (the shaq and Kobe ring-a-long)
    *any team in the east...:p

By the "Lou Pinella" logic...he's got ties to Arkansas, Louisiana, and his wife is like from San Antonio I think....
Hell, it's more likely than 99% of the trades/signings posted here.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Seriously, imagine Bird in a lakers uniform, Magic in a celtic uniform, can't do it can you? The Utah - Rockets one of the last rivalries that still existed in the NBA, now no one plays with actual hatred for the other team. Maybe T- Mac against New Orleans, but don't ruin such wonderful memories of the 90's by ****ing up and getting Malone.

I was going to start a post about this after Karla's latest public tirade. I would not be surprised if a move was made for him (Charles Barkley part deux), but Karl has got to be looking for a championship run, and Houston isn't ready to give him that.

I am game for anything at this point even going after Malone. The only thing clear is that the Rockets are not going to go anywhere without a true power forward full of piss 'n vinegar and not afraid to throw his weight around.

watch us give up Eddie and he goes on to be a clutch playoff hero who wins 3 or 4 rings.

i'm surprised no one has spoken up about this. macbeth, it's really hard for me to see this coming from someone i respect so much. it's like a dagger to my heart.

are you actually serious about this? malone AND stockton both playing for the rockets? what has become of the houston rockets and the people of houston when the idea of bringing in ONE utah player is not only BROUGHT up, but the idea of having TWO begins to sound plausible among some rockets fans?

granted, from an objective viewpoint malone and stockton are seen as veterans who can lead and know how to play the game. but here's my point: as HOUSTON fans, you CAN'T look at this from an objective view. die-hard rockets fans see two of the most dirtiest, and most floppingest and most elbow-throwingest players in the NBA. duh, there's a rivalry between the rockets and the jazz; they're a team we just love to hate.

i'm sorry but bringing both of these guys in would just be a crushing blow to everything that is and stands for the spirit of HOUSTON.

Don't worry, I got your back cover. I would love to have Stockton and Malone and an addition of a pure shooter who can play defense.

i feel this would be a bad idea b/c when i learned the date of our first home game, i would purchase a ticket. then i would purchase a gun. i would bring said gun to said game and as soon as i saw karla in a rox uniform (be it red and silver, red and gold, or the freakin pajamas b/c they forgot to order the new ones) i would shoot him. multiple times. thus ensuring his death. we would then have a huge salary on our cap for a player who isn't playing (b/c he's dead) and that wouldn't be good. so from a purely logical stand point this makes no sense.

and Macbeth you can't refute my argument by saying the jazz aren't actually evil, but are just in the transitional "rule of the pick and rolletariat" stage. they are evil and it should never ever be suggested either of the members of the axis of pure evil (much less both of them) should be on this team.
