I would be for getting rid of some of our depth to upgrade our starting lineup. Giving up a player that plays 20 minutes a game for one that plays 36 and takes over for our greatest weakness would significantly upgrade the team, IMO. DD
Right. Because he's available. Maybe they should have thought of this instead of giving the full MLE to Stromile.
w/ ron, scola, landry, and barry, rafer most likely wont avg more than 9pts a game. rafer wasnt meant to be a main scoring option anyway. now he wont. but, if anyone remembers, last season was prolly rafers 2nd best season. he shot mostly over 40% midrange and had a good 3pt percentage. so he did improve under ricks system. but last season was also an up and down season for us. team wasnt running smoothly till feb. i woulda thought rafer would have his worst season but he excelled. i dunno how he cant get better this season. i dont mean he should start doin more things but his overall game, specailly offense, should be at his best this season. of corse we have another tought opening month w/ a few injuries but that never seems to hold us back in may . first month shouldnt expect 100% perfection, specially if big roster changes been made. in december if rafer keeps up this terrible shooting i say we take him out back and put a bullet...i keed but he has to shoot better than 38%. hes only gonna shoot the ball 5/6 times, how had is it to make half of those shots when youre team is effing good? i will be one mad ass mofo is he struggles w/ his shot throughout the season. specailly if rick USES HIS SHOT more than 8 times.
Heinrich is you solution for better shooting??? Well he is an upgrade over alston in the shooting department, but id give alston the slight edge in team management. PLUS his contract is too large Blake would be good for this team, but Portland would not want to trade him and Brooks gives us everything he does. Blake might have better D but i havent seen it yet
We wouldn't be having this conversation if: - T-Mac wasn't playing 5 minutes while spending the rest of the game with a towel over his mouth - Yao wasn't blowing wide open dunks from 1 foot - Artest was shooting straight - Adelman's vaunted offense was working even slightly effectively Why not focus on those and the PG becomes a non-issue?
excellent little article by feigen to call out all the haters and bashers. i wonder why i see dadakota's name so often in this thread? well, actually, i don't.
Because I know more than you, and am busy trying to educate the ignorant masses Just kidding...it is just my opinion...even though it is 100% right. DD
Don't you know? Since they don't agree with the article, then the author must be "a mouthpiece for the organization"! Unbelievable .
What is unbelievable is that you would think otherwise, if you would have actually read Feigen (whom I like BTW) for more than a year you would realize that he NEVER questions managment...EVER..... He has the smell of what Morey ate for dinner the night before on his lower lip.... He is a mouthpiece...plain and simple.......no harm in calling out the truth. DD
Morey doesn't have nuts to face his own mistake! He should have been able to sign a good pg since he became the rockets' GM. In fact, he tried to bring James and Francis here last summer, but it didn't work. So, it seems he gave up this summer and decided to take a chance on Rafer. The interesting thing is that Morey is a stats expert, and he is keeping to ignore Rafer's stats. He is against his own theory!
