No one sees the truth. Both MDA and Silas have 1 thing in common and that 1 thing is all that matters to LE$. Bringing back JLin and raking in that Asia dough.

In all seriousness. I've wanted a young fresh coach with former head coach assistants all along. Go with Silas/Hollins. No need for more time. Do it now so they can freaking figure out the direction of the team this summer. That's the time they need..for Morey and coaching staff to get on the same page.

They should go with Stephen Silas. I don't know much about him but from what I heard and seen of him he has leadership and player development skills. He is what this team needs and I'm sure he learned a lot of defense from Steve Clifford with the Hornets and a lot of offense from Don Nelson with the Warriors. And learned a lot of knowledge as an assistant. I rather go with him than with D'Antoni who's proven he can't coach guys to fit his system. I'll take D'Antoni as an associate head coach but not as Head coach.

That works every time & not only in sports. I worked for RCA setting up color picture tubes back in the dark ages. We went from stationary set-up stations where the operator did the complete set-up to a carrousel of stations where the operator did 1 part of the set-up. The big question was "how long to give the operator to do their particular job.

We knew that to be an improvement over the stationary method, the time had to be 24 seconds or less. We started off at 8 secs. The yelling & screaming were unbelievable. We went to 10 secs with somewhat less commotion. Ultimately, we wound up at 18 seconds and everyone's happy.

So yes, that very well could have been the plan all along.

    Plowman is talking about Curry.

Trade Brewer and Bev for Curry, use him as a spot up shooter for Harden.

So Steve Kerr was recognized as an offensive and defensive genius before he got the Golden State job? No, he has a glorified defensive coordinator on his staff. Pop used to be a grind it out guy in the Spurs early title years before adjusting to the new style of play. Something Budenholzer helped him install in San Antonio.

Wanting the not just the best coach but best overall staff is the only way to go. If they were comparing the virtue of Phil Jackson to an assembled coaching staff, I'd see your point. Phil Jackson isn't walking through that door so you're left with taking a solid coach, pairing them with good assistants, and hope the sum of the parts equates to greatness on the court.

The Rockets have already taken this much time, might as well give it another week to see which candidate could assemble the best overall staff to support them.

    Murray hires Silas.

Steph Curry decides he needs to play under him. Murray trades James Harden for Curry. Win-win scenario.

I assume they're serious about silas. Having said that, a great way to push down D'Antoni's asking price is by the threat of a second coaching option. So the news about Silas, if nothing else, may lower the asking price for either coach. Also it makes good sense to at least consider the new option. I don't know much about silas but having hollins an assistant is very appealing.
