[Feigen] Rockets seriously considering Silas with Hollins as top Assistant

Why can't Les just sell the team and step down? He is not a very good owner that besides us winning the two championships in the 90's, and making a Western Conference Finals appearance last year, hasn't done much since. Daryl Morey should just buy the team from him. I'm sure he has the money to do so.

 

Yeah indeed. I'm not the biggest Morey fan, but what Leslie is doing now is just undermining his own GM and showing very little faith.

 

This is insane. "That's just the business if it happens. Still good candidates available." NOT REALLY. You went from Voegl/Joerger/Thibs being available to freaking Hollins, MDA, and a bunch of AHAs. There aren't really any good options available, I feel like we're just hoping it's not the worst (MDA).

I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in how involved Les has become over the past 2 season since getting Dwight. I always thought he was a fairly decent owner. But shut the **** up and pay the damn bills - take a lesson from the Peter Holts of the NBA, not the freaking Dolans you meddling nincompoop.

 

The Silas and Hollins combo is very interesting to Me, I like the contrast of personalities on and off the court.

 

Is there anyone else in play? JVG still seems like he could appear out of nowhere and get the job we all expected him to get.

 

REP. So much this post. All of these other coaching candidates are in demand in some capacity. Yet NO ONE is banging down the doors for MDA. That should tell you plenty.

Rockets fans expect More, and have to deal with getting Les.

 

Just goes to show you how non-plussed the Rockets fans are with a MDA hire. Uninspiring, and does fix the core issues of the team. Easy to be aggitated about that.

 

I'm starting to think the Rockets aren't serious about anything. Once again they are the laughing stocks of the league. 12 freakin interviews.

After interviewing every non head coach in the NBA, whomever they hire better finish their contract and turn this team around ASAP. If they get bounced in the first round, or worse, its going to be terrible for the entire FO. When do they start branching out to college, high school, and middle school coaches?

 

100% that. It all starts with that. And that is not MDA, in my opinion.

 

Silas is being used as leverage in the D'Antoni negotiations.

 

Still believe all these interviews may be to finalize Pringles staff. Taking longer than expected because we haven't got commitments from some of these guys. Rockets are becoming a classless organization and the clowns of the NBA. It is worrisome the direction we are heading. In a few years we will be regarded in the same way as the Sixers and Bucks.

I'd buy that explanation except for the fact that they've reportedly got 2 finalists and yet they're still lining up interviews. What the hell do they need to talk to Adrian Griffin out of the blue for if they've narrowed it down to D'Antoni and Silas?

I think the leverage explanation makes way more sense. Especially given what's been said about Les and money.

 

It'll be hard to argue against Chuck's hatred and illogical attacks against the Rockets this upcoming season. What a joke... I never thought those words would come out of my keyboard.

 

Not sure how serious we are, this must be 4th or 5th HC candidate we are serious, it can't be that serious then :grin:
