Update for you: In today's NBA coaching an uptempo, 8-9 second offense is not that HARD anymore

Yeah his Suns have revolutionized this, I admit but a lot of teams are doing that

You do not need a D'antoni for the offense any longer, he is a weak leader

and someone difficult stars like Harden or Cousins have a hard time listen to

Yall need to stop hating on Mike D'Antoni, seriously. If the guy started coaching again he would be among the top 5 active coaches in w/l percentile.

You need an offense capable of playing at 2016 level in order to win a championship. You're not going to get that with JVG, Yoerger or Vogel. Those dudes are still running offenses like its 1995.

JVG was already exposed the last time he coached in Houston. That's why he's still in broadcasting and not coaching anymore.

Everyone in the organization is responsible for the epic failure of 15-16. Whoever is still in the box should be grateful. Disgrace to fans and the Integrity of basketball.

Seems ass backwards to me. If they're seeking someone with experience, how is silas a candidate? Why Hollins is not in front of Silas is beyond me

I do not know if you had the sleep of the Sleeping Beauty but times have changed

Assistants to be coaches are now popular than ever

Do not ask me, I did not make the trends

This Borrego interview has "We're going to lose out on Silas" written all over it...

Cringe still in play from what I got today.

Don't count out Lionel just yet. There always seems to be a last second switch with DM. Silas/Hollins or Hollins/Silas?

Silas isn't going to take an assistant job here when he can get one @ GS

Would have to agree with this sentiment..

Have to think we have until they're done with playoffs to move, but our luck has been trash as of late

This better be for an assistant position. It looks weird that the media is reporting that they narrowed it to two people but still holding HC interviews. Very Strange.

Warriors want Silas as top assistant to replace Luke Walton. Silas has good relationships with Curry. In Curry's rookie season it was Silas that worked with him the most. Silas had similar role with baron Davis, lebron, and Jeremy lin their rookie years in new Orleans, Cleveland, and golden state.

Silas will go to Warriors and once they hire D'Antoni, they will say that it was D'Antoni all along to save face. We will get screwed.

I honestly cannot believe that Pringles is even a candidate. This team needs a leader to establish team culture of toughness, accountability, and excellence. It's not if you are an offense first or defense first coach. It's all about can you reach Harden, are you a leader of men, do you have the communication skills (and pedigree) to do the job.

Focusing on offense vs defense is near sighted because that smacks of trying to win in 2016. That is a goal, but not the goal. We should be looking for the next great coach and leader of men. I don't know squat about Silas but what's out there seems to suggest he might be the guy. And call me racist or stupid if you like, but it absolutely cannot hurt that he is African American. I think Harden will be difficult for any coach to truly reach, and maybe it will take someone who is African American to do it. I think I read that Silas also played at AZ as a guard. Maybe that's another key.

All I know is that it's not Pringles.

The only 3 coaches I know could reach harden for sure are popovich, Riley, and Phil Jackson. Maybe we need a white coach.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
