Aaron Gordon makes too much sense. Morey needs to 3 way or 4 way with AG to Rockets, Wall to Magic, picks to Wizards.
Thursday cant get here soon enough. What they do - or don't do will tell us a lot about this owner. If they dump Knight and picks for garbage to escape the tax …. its not a good time to be a Rockets fan. If they move Knight and picks - taking on salary to get better …. All's right in the world. If they don't move Knight … its not the end of the world , he's a moving part next season on a good sized expiring contract that can turn into a solid piece. If they go with Option 1 , I'll be mad enough to kick puppies.
Anything other than Option 2 is the ultimate waste. Before Ryno's second season on a 4/$80M, we knew we needed to trade him. We didn't want to lose picks so we allowed one huge anchor to remain on the roster when we almost won Game 7 of the WCF (really won anyway). We wasted a championship year. Here we are again. If we throw away any opportunity to use that slot to get us a better team then that is a damning indictment on Morey. Not only was Ryno his worst decision but we lost so much time because he wouldn't move off that mistake as he kept waiting for the perfect deal.
