    I said NONE of these local writers mentioned anything about Turner being demoted, it just vaguely mentioned MDA making defensive adjustments. Ben Dubose writing the article means nothing if it didn't verifying the foolishness you & Nook are alleging. U dislike a assistant that bad you blatantly lie on him? Um, ok

    I am not disparaging Turner at all, he is better D coach than Nate McMillan IMO.

    Turner was an assistant under Adelman when he coached Rockets. And Turner was on Joerger's staff with Grizz and Kings.

    Just because D'Antoni changed the defense and made it his priority especially in the bubble does not mean Turner was demoted. He still ran the D, just not HIS particular D, which had struggled for most of the season from the jump.

    Everyone has recognized that D'Antoni personally refocused on D after Capela trade. Morey stated this often. Going all in on small ball was just as much of a defensive advantage than offensive one, maybe more.

    Defense became the team's mantra this past season and this only happens if the HC is making a point of emphasis, a point of pride, their ticket to a ring.

    Every time MDA was interviewed or one of the core players, they all stressed defensive switching, effort and communication. They also practiced switch D often, remember the running joke that MDA never practiced defense, well that changed at end of season and specifically in the bubble.

    McMillian would be good if he can teach harden to do more of what he did with Dort on a usual basics, if you can get Harden to focus on Defense, might be interesting.
