I believe he, who feeds Cali (and others) their recruits, has his claws in all of the non-Int'ls, or so it appears (to be represented by WWW).

The list includes Melo - - and CP3. Every Kentuck recruit since JC's arrival in Lex, and those from Memphis, before.

And besides - - don't the biggies get to demand their trade destinations?

DM the GM would be swimming with the fishies...and sharks.

The list of available coaches is underwhelming to say the least. Oh well, as long as they don't hire a college coach or the two mikes, it will be alright.

All those coaches are worse than Adelman.

You have to wonder if some of these coaches will tell Morey what he wants to hear and pretend to love advanced metrics.

    This.

None of those names really makes me feel comfortable taking the helm of the Rockets. Though, they might see something I don't. Hopefully, they are able to find a great replacement if they are gonna dump a great coach.

We need Rudy T now more than ever. I wish he was able to coach again.

I find it funny that the Pistons just fired the person who was the assistant who made plays for Mike Brown, and now they want to hire Mike Brown.

Yeah kinda weird but...what are you gonna do if your the Pistons?!:p

Guess they would rather have the "main" guy instead of the joker that is the assistant-turned HC in Kuester

Has the "wide net" plan backfired?

Mike Brown was one of our top choices once the process began (according to denniscd). Reportedly, he did not want to interview unless he was offered the job -- obviously we couldn't guarantee that. Brown didn't want to be just another head coaching interview, as we've seemingly had 50. But now he's interviewing for the Golden State job, despite them interviewing other candidates.

Putting aside WHO it is (I know everyone hates Brown), did the Rockets accidentally cross off one of their top targets by interviewing so many candidates?

I'm not disagreeing with you, HMMMHMM. Actually, I disagree about prefering McHale to Brown -- but I'm fine with the other two.

But it still makes you wonder -- the Rockets had Brown high on their wish list and lost out on him because of their open coaching search. Would some exclusivity have kept him in the fold? Was this really the best way to go about finding a coach?
