Morey traded for T-Will with a lottery protected 1st rounder.

Some sportswriters claimed he was acquired for only as a trade asset. I can believe that.

Morey turned a bottom half 1st rounder into a higher chip asset.

If the Rockets had traded for a Melo/Deron that 1st rounder would've been projected/worth lower in the mid-20s to 30th pick.

 

Why exactly is this? Adelman leads a roster with barely any talent to a VERY respectful record, but yet clutchfans somewhat blame him instead of the idiot who put together this talentless roster?

Twill for Anthony Randolph makes a lot of sense to me for both teams. Randolph is playing behind Love, Darko, Beasley. TWill would give Minny backcourt help that they need. May even be able to develop into their starting point guard. I'd even throw in the 23rd pick for the rights to Rubio just to sweeten the pot for them since Rubio is so bad.

 

This has been asked and explained somewhere. But I'll fill you in.

During the season when a lot of people were still calling for Adelman's head for not playing TWill, they borrowed the movie Clash of the Titans "Release the Kraken." So TWill was the "Kraken" which was a giant squid.

Morey has definitely made his mistakes by learning on the Job. It appears that he doesn't understand the word Chemistry and putting pieces together. 10 great PER's will not win you a lot of games. But players knowing and excuting their roles will. Check 94 and 95 championship teams.

* Brad "no D" Miller - 3 yrs and $15 mln
* Terrance "the squid" Williams for our 1st rounder
* Giving Yao the max and thinking about giving Yao a contract extension for anything more than $10 mln and 3 years
* Not realizing that the Rockets need better defenders at the 2 and 3 spot. Chase and Martin are poor defenders.

* Taking the Knicks to the bank on the Tmac trade
* Resigning Lowry and not falling for Brooks hype (I was on the AB train)
* Finally moving the Teflon Don (big shot for him yesterday) Shane Battier

No surprise here. I saw this same line of thinking when Carroll Dawson was running this team into the ground. Folks blamed Rudy T and then JVG. Now it's Adelman's turn.

I disagree with the roster being talentless as there is definitely some good talent there but this assembling a roster with players from the D-league or from the end of other teams' benches has not produced a roster that matches up with their competition in the West which is why they are home watching the playoffs once again.
