Feelings about a trade with Washington

hell no.....his contract is terrible

 

As an Elsik grad I like Lewis a lot. But he is pretty much Kevin Martin in a 6'10 frame. In Seattle it seemd that he was forced to incorporate a post game but it has become non existent since he was with Orlando. Add to that an iffy defense and little to no skill as a playmaker and he has made himself into a one dimensional player. McGee is good but he doesn't play like a center he will be yet another PF on our roster playing out of position.

 

No I wouldn't touch lewis's contract with a 10 foot pole

Sure we should have drafted him considering this is who we got instead, all 3 ahead of where he was picked:
1998 1st rnd 14th pick Micheal Dickerson SG University of Arizona
1998 1st rnd 16th pick Bryce Drew PG Valparaiso University
1998 1st rnd 18th pick Mirsad Türkcan

That doesn't mean we should pay him the outrageous contract he has now.

 

Lewis does not get to the FT line, mate. He ain't anything like Kevin.

You might care more about contracts if you acquired Lewis and had to start him alongside four sensible-contract players because that's all you could afford.

I don't mind having McGee. Lewis has one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Why do we need another small forward? We already have T-Will, Bud, Battier, Lee etc. We need an athletic Center who can rebound and also block/alter some shots. Meanwhile, I would like to see Samuel Dalembert from Sacremento. His contract is expriing at the end of this year. So, if it does not work out, we can just let him go.

 

Yeah but rashard is depressed, and is growing his stress beard out in washington.

 

Kinda funny because Rudy Gay is making almost $14M, hasn't accomplished jack, isn't an all-star or anything yet people here seem to love him. Maybe it takes some time.

I wanted Lewis then, I was upset and felt for Lewis when he was bypassed by the Roxs, but I still don't want him now. Way overpaid. I don't want to spend Lamborghini money and get rebuilt Ford.
