It was funny being around Marquette when he was still there. Most of the players were jerks. Wade was the best of them, and he was a saint.

...doesn't that usually work in reverse?

I dunno about you guys but I'm tired of all these NBA cares commecials. Also the "Where it happens" as well. Doing nice deeds to do nice deeds is commendable, but getting so much recognition over it is meh.

Actually we need more people aware of activities like these. It's good inspiration for young kids, and good PR for a league that for years has been unfairly labeled a "bunch of thugs."

I agree. Question is, will folks like Wade etc carry this on when they are out of the league?

I guess I'm just a cold hearted person that doesn't enjoy watching Chris Paul help build the same house every time there's a basketball game.

Nobody knows what anyone will do when they are out of the league, but some ex-players are involved in helping communities currently.

    Wade's World :) Nice.

The only thing I don't like about Wade is the commercial where he is waking up to the supposed criticism of him coming out of college. Dude was a stud, a straight up baller. I loved watching the guy at Marquette. If anything I think he was very underrated in college.

We need to sign that guy in 2010. He can do so much for this team. :(
