Because unlike the wingnut morons who you caricature on this BBS - none of those groups really exist anymore. The Weather Underground is gone. SO is the Symbionese Liberation Army. Militia movements, white supremacist hate groups? Still alive and kicking on the interwebs and in real life.

A word of congratulations, OddsOn - factually you are the FAIL KING of ANGMAR, LORD OF THE FAILGUL.

You ride upon a mighty winged FAIL BEAST, swooping down across the battlefield to wreak your mis-reign of FAIL in truly EPIC fashion.

No MAN can beat you at FAILING.

    (except for ROCKET RICH NYC)

It was est. 4700, not 40k. Big difference. He wasn't a smartass. He asked a simple question, which they refused to answer because they knew they were wrong to detain him.

    fear is a weapon

    pride is a strategy

    division is defeat

I like how moderates are defensive

the psychology of the government is effective

once good is evil and evil is good we will all be swinging around in the middle wondering who are these extremists... I'm sure there will be enough evidence on the evening news

I think it's important for local law enforcement to get on the same page

domestic terrorism is the new communism...slipping slipping into the '50's

Am I required by law to disclose it?

LOL, nah. I'd think common sense. Might not be a good idea to piss off the cops now is it? And he had a legit reason...4 grand or 40 grand cash, it all looks suspicious on anyone, never mind a 25-year old. He just fails at common sense.

It's like playing N.W.A while the cops are pulling you over. It's your right. No one's denying that. But don't expect the cops to be best pals with you.

So any of you reactionaries expressing outrage in this thread rethinking your unwavering support for the Patriot Act right about now? What did you think was going to happen? Or did you think there was some provision that made it so that it was only effective for use against the dirty brown skinned wogs that you are so afraid of?

And with regard to the cash mentioned above, you can thank that War on Drugs that you right wingers are so fond of for the power to confiscate that cash for no reason other than suspicion.

I'm practically quivering from the schadenfreude that that I get from this thread. The right wing paranoia chickens have all come home to roost.

They were so worried about the right, that the feds did their 1st assessment of the year on left-wing radicals. It's just one in a series of national security threat assessments.

You're right. A 25 year old prep who is carrying a box of cash with Ron Paul paraphernalia looks like a terrorist or drug dealer.

The "cops" are not suppose to be my pal. They are there to uphold the law, not overstep it. Im sure I can find some place where you're b****ing about how its wrong to unjustly screen passengers.

You're original comment was that nobody was getting locked up. I gave you a direct example where you were wrong.

But thats ok. You're just another sheeple .... you don't give a damn about the constitution.

Um...it's kinda funny how you stereotyped him in the first line. I guess that gets to the crux of the matter. "How could you threaten a white suburbanite?".

Wrong to unjustly screen passengers? Have fun looking for that. For the record, both of us are hypocrites on this issue.

I'll amend my statement though. Almost nobody. Now drag out a couple of more cases (preferably with longer jail terms) and I'll spare you the same old beaten Rodney King defense.

And you're right; I don't give a damn about the constitution; I don't even live in the country! As for being a sheep, this is being a prick, but I think in terms of thinking (and in no way do I mean in actions; we're all stuck in the same lifestyle), I am in many ways freer then you have ever been. The constitution is outdated. The founding fathers may not have been the sagest guides when it comes to 21st century America, a country they may never have dreamed of. The Bill of Rights should not be trifled with BUT it is not a fundamental pillar like the Bible or the Torah; modern situations demand modern laws. As Jesus Himself put it, it is not the WORD that carries weight, it is the SPIRIT of the law. One interpretation of "cruel and unusual" spared prisoners execution, another hastened it!

So what you are basically saying Space Ghost is because he is a normal looking white guy, he should not be suspected of doing anything wrong. But if he were say a black guy with an oversized sports jersey, then its ok to detain him and take his money.

Here is a link to the left-wing report.

    http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/Leftwing_Extremist_Threat.pdf#page=4

Seems the DHS, working on a report from before Obama was even sworn in, deemed that the biggest problem of Left-Wing radicals is cyber attacks.

Speaking of evidence of a growing problem, remember the guy in Tennessee who shot up the Unitarian Church? Actual quote from him:

GOD DAMN if that statement doesn't sound like it could come from a number of people on this very board and other Tea Baggers.

OddsOn is pretty much now in basso territory in terms of the quality/worthlessness of his threads.

I'm sure the "Tea Parties" may prove to be a fertile recruitment ground for extremists.

I hope there is a large police contingent for crowd control and plenty of surveillance.

    You can't be too careful.

Good thing right-wingers supported passage of the Patriot Act.

    Now we have the tools...

My favorite part of this has been other journalists having fun with the term Tea Bagging. The best was this one by David Shuster on MSNBC:

I've been trying to avoid this topic, only alluding to it, but the fact there are white supremacy groups openingly supporting this things. Groups the government probably already have on their radar.
