I ordered some stuff online, chose to have it shipped via UPS ground.
    It came from Chicago
The time between me clicking complete order and me getting the stuff...36 hours.

    UPS is amazing

FedEx ground shipping is horrible. One problem after another.

    UPS ftw.

    Usually on top of stuff.

About a month ago I had my wife waiting for an important package with all noisemakers in the house turned off so she could hear a knock on the door. I got home and there was a UPS sticker on the door. Since the UPS guy usually delivers around 5pm, I took off to find him. I found him about fifteen blocks away (big brown van easy to spot on long, straight roads) sleeping on a dead end.

But I cut him some slack since he works 12-15 hours a day, 5 days a week. Over the Christmas holidays he showed up at my house at 8:30 at night with a package.

Company used Fedex for years. Switched over to DHL 6 months ago.

Marginal differences, can't say one's better than the other. Both with minor hiccups but nothing to slam them over... We ship 99.5% local though, so lesser chance for errors.

Myself and three other friends on separate incidents had bad luck with UPS shipping from Ebay, so its left a unfavorable impression...but UPS seems to be very solid with freight packages.

    Faster, maybe, but not cheaper.
