What was the talk before Vinny was coach? Tyrus Thomas hasn't done anything consistent during his 4 seasons in the NBA besides underwhelm and disappoint. From the day he was drafted there have been reports about his attitude. His skillset has barely changed since his rookie year. Even if he actually plays hard for the next 30 games, whoever gives him a MLE will regret it. He may help the Bobcats the rest of this year because his next contract is at stake, but I don't think he has the brains or focus to perform over an entire NBA season.
That was truly pathetic. Not defending Rudy at all, but I know why he did it. Two (consecutive?) trips down the floor prior he was called for charging into Big Baby, who also clearly embellished the contact. Those two calls changed the direction of the game and killed the Blazers' run. Rudy couldn't knock down Big Baby if he tried. I guess he was trying to get the favor returned and the refs obliged with the makeup call.
