just watched it over a span of 3 days. it wasn't bad. the gloomy visuals get old real fast tho. doesn't fit with all of the j-leaguers. i wished they'd stick to the characters from the cartoon/comics... the pacific islander aquaman seems so out of character, super cringe. also they turned barry allen into a simp. but overall i think maybe 7/10 is fair.

the joss whedon versin was so bad that it overrides anything good he has made. he needs to pump out 2-3 reaaallyy good movies after this to be relevant again. for now, he is michael bay bad.

Not at all defending Whedon's JL - but... if ANYONE in the industry is Bay-like it's Snyder.

Not sure why Joss cut Alfred out of his movie along with everything else. People talking about how Cyborg benefits from the Snyder Cut, but Alfred also shines too.

Alfred's cut lines are they type of quippy, funny stuff you would think someone like Joss would want to leave in. Joss cut out all of Wonder Woman's and the Amazon's good stuff too.

It really feels like Joss was cutting out all the heart of Snyder's film so he could put his own brand of heart in it.

ALSO: why the hell would you cut that flash scene?

I haven't seen the Snyder cut and don't have any immediate plans to do so but I do like Colbert's take on the post credit scene.

I know very little about Death Stroke but the few times I've seen him I've mistaken him for Deadpool. Not sure which came first but some of the more blatant copying in the comic book world.

See I think Comics are more attuned to what Snyder does than Whedon does at least the ones I have liked.

I have not seen the movie but this b****ing about slow motion seems to be a fanboy thing, maybe it was overdone but come on every action movie does some kind of slo mo.

comedy is not the only form of escapism especially in a action/sci fi movie.

You seem to be enjoying ******** on this movie a bit too much.

IIRC - Deadpool was created as a spoof to poke fun at Deathstroke. Slade Wilson is Deathstroke's name and Deadpool's name is Wade Wilson.

Fair enough. I've definitely written off Snyder from his previous misses.

I'm more trying to deconstruct how it could be better. For example, if studio execs didn't abort the idea of Green Lantern being in this movie (which would help if they used their colors better like a previous poster mentioned), they could introduce Cyborg into a different movie, save some exposition/setup and have better room to fit in a 2.5 hr movie without confusing the audience.

Yeah I have no idea why they tried to shoehorn Cyborg into this movie, the green Lantern seems a much better bet to have a spinoff movies.

I think they were trying to get some of that Teen Titan audience is Cyborg even in the animated JLA stuff?

I believe Green Lantern in Snyder's universe is Ryan Reynolds, so the GL movie already exists in this universe. Never saw it though.

Yeah I know and that movie was very meh but just because the villain was crap.

They need to do the black GL because it's an easy retcon since there are so many.

I could see John David Washington or John Boyega in that role.

Maybe to John David Washington. Hell NO to Boyega.

    My vote is Aldis Hodge.

Don't know what you got against Boyega but I can get on the Hodge train, have liked him since Leverage and he probably has the best presence the others are kind of short.

Wait, who is directing? If Whedon I vote Tituss Burgess.

I think in the right hands GL could be DC's Iron Man and be the franchise that gets them into the MCU discussion.

He could be the jumping off point for everything else they want to do but they would have to get it right.

Maybe let Spike take a shot at it? Just spit ballin here don't have a great feel for directors especially after Jenkins had a stinker with WW 84.

The FX on GL was a mess. Movie would've been half decent if they figured that out and perfected it.

You're going to get some bad visual moments in every comic book movie but the ring's power was the movie. If GL had sequels, it would've likely went into other colors which would've made the issue more pressing.

I don't remember it being that bad but I don't really look for that kind of stuff.

With the series on HBO Max it will probably get a reboot anyway.
