It appears to me that after reading that age thread, I am no where near the oldest person here. And I can hang out and party longer than kids half my age!

(And the early bird special is only on weekdays!)

    Eat 'em up Kats!

I grew up in Huntsville, my grandfather graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College, my mom, aunt, and cousins graduated from Sam, I remember when Old Main burned, my uncle taught there, teared up whenever I walked by Tripod's grave, knew lots of profs' kids, took college boy money playing pool at The Emporium, and though it was cool to sneak into the Sound Machine or Jolly Fox and dance with college girls when I was still underage.

So, even though I never took a class there and am technically a t-shirt fan, Sam is my alma mater as much as any school I actually attended. I'll be watching.

That's more than a t-shirt fan. With that kind of history, you're part of the family.

    Where is the actual moontower?

I can't let all the secrets out. Besides, most of those parties took place at "the power lines."

Am I the only one that knew it was a QB sneak since the back was 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage?

Great defensive game planning by NDSU. They deserved the win. Congrats to them.

I have a good feeling Sam will be back next year. Most of the offense will be back.

Most of the defense will be back too, if i remember correctly.

Sam never made any adjustments, and that killed them. They had 3 weeks to prepare and came out with the same gameplan, like the didn't think NDSU would be ready.

On the plus side, our defense was amazing. The difference was the fake punt and the interception to the 2 yard line.

I went to the game, and it was a great time. Everyone was pretty friendly, even the NDSU guys. It was a little sad to see that a game basically in our backyard had at least a 50/50 split with NDSU (they maybe even had more) and their fans are LOUD! SHSU needs a few more years of winning (which should be coming) and we can be better.

I forgot that they were playing, sorry they lost.

I guess SWTSU still has the only championships in the lower divisions still.

    Too bad !

NDSU really deserved this. They love their sports up there. Fargo has got to be one of the best cities. Really clean, and a college like atmosphere. Really nice people there too.

Man, can't say enough about NDSU's defense. No wonder they beat Minnesota this year. Fritz was totally out coached. No halftime adjustments, he just kept running it when it was clear NDSU was prepared to stop it.

Sam Houston looked like a team that's never experienced adversity before - coaching staff included. Once it was clear the option game wasn't happening, we just kept banging our heads against the wall hoping things would change.

We should have thrown the ball more. If for nothing else, just to open things up inside.

Anyway, props to NDSU. The better team won. I have a lot of friends that went to the game and they all said the NDSU fans were total class.

What an amazing season by SHSU. Just looking at the roster, most of our good players are only sophomores (Flanders, Bell, Sincere, Williams). This year, we banged on the door. Maybe next year, we'll kick the damn thing in.

I was surprised they kept having Sincere go out there in the "WildBearKat". He was never going to pitch it and he never gained more than a couple of yards. They knew exactly what he was doing every time. Was Debesse and the other offensive coach who is following to New Mexico spending too much time looking for new homes and not putting in a proper game plan? Probably not but I was very disappointed in the fact there were no adjustments made at all.

We'll be back next year. The SLC probably won't be much better than it was this year and Sam loses very few key players. Just have to wonder who can come in as OC and maintain this offense that was specifically designed for these players.
