There are 2 college football threads. You could have been upfront and put "Shamless self promotion" in the title.
It doesn't matter where UT is.. 1 or 2.. they're bound to be 2 after the SEC championship game unless they get upset somewhere... then they'll hopefully win that title that Colt has been waiting for. Rankings don't really mean anything if there is the same end result.
I think the Horns will make an excellent Rose, Sugar or other non BCS Championship game "champion" this year.
Is this an assignment for your Leisure Learning web design class? The god-awful team logos on your post are three times bigger than your text.
I'm a Longhorn and right now I don't think we could beat Florida or Alabama. Hopefully that will change.
How silly you are... how are we going to see that sight again, if FOX has the next BCS final game and John Saunders doesn't work for FOX?!?!?! DUH, that's not possible. Besides, you're a librarian.
It's all subjective, so to each his own. You have plenty of negatives to list about Florida and Alabama. Totally reasonable. But you see no weaknesses in Texas? Really? No faults in Texas' game this season? As if Texas has been dominating in every win...This is why it looks homerish.
I don't know how accurate this is, but according to the following website Texas has the weakest SOS of the top three teams thus far. Also interesting to note that Iowa has played the third toughest schedule so far. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/polls/119
I think OK State, Kansas, or Mizzou upset UT this year. They haven't looked very dominant. I wouldn't be surprised if both Alabama AND Florida also drop a game. None of the top teams this year have looked spectacular.
As a UT alum, that ranking is embarassing. Your analysis of the other teams are weak, and what you stated about UT is just plain fantasy. Out of the top 5 teams, we have the worst offense. I don't know if you have watched any of the games this season, but we have struggled to run or pass consistently. Our defense may be the best, but still is not good enough to overcome our flaws on offense against a top ranked team. Also, remember that we barely scraped by with a 3 point win over a team that didn't have: their best player, a starting QB, and Heisman trophy winner. I think with Bradford in there, they get at least 7 more points which means the Horns are no longer undefeated. Lucky for us, there is still plenty of season left to figure things out. I just hope that we get exposed in the NC game, like OU likes to do, instead of against a mediocre team.
same guy who gave us this wonderful list.... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=4795082#post4795082
