Lakers Trades: Nick Van Exel Lamar Odom Phoenix Trades: Antonio McDyess Penny Hardaway Moochie Norris 2007 first rounder Lakers have agreed.
Got the first trade through, but in the second deal, the Moochie Norris part makes the salaries not work and would give the Lakers too many (16) players. Lakers Salaries: 15,281,224 Suns Salaries: 20,167,548 The Lakers are under the cap, but only by a little over a million. If the Lakers add a couple of guys currently on their IR, Samuel Dalembert and Glen Rice (both have pretty small contracts that expire soon), and the Suns add one of Jerome James or Brian Steitz (so that they don't go over the roster limit and the salaries still match) then the deal would work. That is just a suggestion though.
I'll add Dalembert and Rice...David can add preferably James, don't really need Steitz. So it'd be Rice and Dalembert for James...if you wanted to do that, David.?
Ok, well Steitz is the only one that isn't necessary to the deal for cap purposes, so if you don't need him deve, I could also just cut him for the Suns so they are down to 14 players and can take a 4 players for 3 player deal. Should I do that? Not sure if dv wanted to part with James as he wasn't on his IR like Steitz and the other add-ins.

And that's the deadline. Btw, Smeg and Deve - Those guys you said to cut to make it work...it works without them being cut, so would you still want to cut them, or go ahead and keep them?
