pretty big trade here.... 76ers Trade: Jalen Rose Tariq Abdul-Wahad Jamal Whitney 2006 76ers 1st rounder 2007 76ers 1st rounder 2007 Pistons 2nd rounder Lakers trade: Caron Butler Clarence Weatherspoon Glen Rice Brevin Knight Robert Horry 76ers accept
Lakers Agree. Before I'm told by any of you that this trade sucks, take into consideration that the first rounders can be good one's, and Jamal Whitney may be a steal.
Salaries are about 6 million apart and the 76ers would have to make some cuts before to have enough roster space.
Rose- 14.5 Wahad -6.75 total= 21.25 Butler- 2.88 Spoon- 5.9 Rice- 1.3 Knight- 3.27 Horry- 1.9 total= about 15.25 He has 5.78 in cap room... isn't 21.03 and 21.25 within 15%? Anyway, how many players do i have to cut? for now I'll cut Horry....
1. You forgot about Whitney 2. Cap room does not count when counting by 115% 3. Once it didn't work capwise, he declined the trade.
He has 5.78 in cap room... isn't 21.03 and 21.25 within 15%? Pretty much what NYK said in #2... the 115% doesn't go into effect when dealing with caproom. The salaries would have to be within the 5.78 or within 15%, but not both.

I don't think I can really do this trade. Rose is older, and is only getting 6 ppg more than Caron RIGHT NOW. Sorry duke. I tell you what though, if there is anyone else that interests you on the Lakers, you know how to contact me.
I dont want to get into anything here, but why did you trade Caron in the first place? Caron wouldn't like coming back to a team with a GM that traded him away. . No but seriously, maybe we can do a 3 way deal, Alvin Williams(5.8 mill), Jeff Foster (1.8 Mill) and Aaron Williams (3.2 mill) can all be put into a deal regarding your teams (Lakers and Sixers).
I traded him because I got Kobe. I would like to keep Jalen, unless I can get Caron, or another good SF.
