Got back last night after being gone a few days. Will resume playoffs with the simming of Round 2 tonight in chat.
My internet didn't want to let me on last night until very late, so round 2 will be tonight instead. (around 9-10 cst starting time)
Well, round 2 was certainly a surprise. None of the matchups turned out to be close and was able to go through it without any real key elimination games since all of the series' were practically over. The top teams record-wise lost each series. The defending champion Bateaux Ivre were swept by the Magic. The #1 seed in the West, the Minnesota Timberwolves, were easily defeated 4-1 by the Rockets. The same goes for the #1 seed in the East, the Chicago Bulls, against the Bucks. The 7th seeded Grizzlies also won their series 4-1 beating the 6th seeded E.T.s. I will schedule the conference finals for the same time tomorrow night, and hopefully if the GM's that win that are around, I can do the finals too before the weekend. Will start to update sometime within the next half hour.
Yes, and ended up being extremely busy while they were here. They left this morning though, so I will resume the playoffs tonight at 9 pm cst.
Magic and Bucks tied up 3-3 and going to game 7 in Milwaukee. Grizz and Rockets had a nice series, with the 7th seeded Grizz advancing to the finals. Will sim Finals and game 7 of Eastern Conference Finals tomorrow (well today now), Monday at 9 pm cst. Too tired to update now, so I will do it tomorrow afternoon.
The Magic took game 7 and advanced to the finals to play the Grizzlies. In the finals, the Magic took the first game, but the Grizz stole game 2 in Orlando. The Grizz then won game 3 in Memphis, but the Magic came back stealing the next two on the road. Now the Magic are up 3-2. Didn't want to sim elimination games with Nomar not here, so I will try to get the last 1/2 game(s) done tomorrow when I get home at around 10 pm cst hopefully. Will update tonight's stuff now.
a team switch: I am now the new owner of the Miami Heat. Since GRF hasn't been around for the last couple of seasons, the Heat have apparently become available. I've won a title with the Bucks, and built two good teams, so I am interested in a new challenge. GRF, if you are still interested in participating, you may definitely have the Bucks. The Bucks were one game away from the NBA Finals this year, and still have Shaq, Glenn Robinson, Ben Wallace, Derek Anderson, TJ Ford, and more. If you aren't interested, the first person on the waiting list will have them, I suppose.
