I don't really like movie by actual bands or just haven't seen them. Eddie and The Cruisers - I have the record too and I love it. Little Shop of Horrors The Rocky Horror Picture Show The Blues Brothers That Thing You Do
O Brother where art thou Blues Brother and the song remains the same is great other than the dream/fantasy sequences.
Music themed: Almost Famous, definitely. (but it's not by a band... maybe that's why it actually made sense ) soundtracks and music used in the movie: O Brother, Where Art Thou the really good Disney movies from the early 90's (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King... though I never saw what was so great about the Hakuna Matata song) (Moulin Rouge - OK, but not quite up to what I hoped it would be... too darn much repetition of one song) Overrated: Dirty Dancing Best Orchestral Score: Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves Movies with surprisingly good collections of songs used in the background: Forrest Gump, American Pie (the original, though even the others are OK)
