That is my favorite "Christmas Love Song", but my favorite version is with James Taylor and Natalie Cole.

My favorite Christmas hymn is "O, Come, All Ye Faithful". Here's a good version by Yolanda Adams.

Is that the same one Otis Redding does? I forgot to mention that one.

It most likey is. I haven't heard Redding's version, but I'm going to hunt it down because I've been listening to a lot of Otis lately.

Lou Rawls just has a great voice for Christmas songs. Playing his "merry christmas, baby" album is a holiday must in my house.

I'm a big Hall & Oates fan for some reason.

Also, Christmas in Hollis by Run DMC.

I cannot believe there has has not been a single mention of The Temptations singing "Silent Night", now that is a classic.

A guy named Michael Chertock did an amazing piano rendition of You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.

I absolutely loathe the Springsteen version of Santa Claus is Coming to town.

The most annoying christmas song rendition is by far Dixie Chix - Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer.. I think Jewel is on it too. Man that is horrible. Aside from it being accapella, they start making these "boingy boingy" sounds. It sounds so damn r****ded.

Agreed. And (as I said), the Springsteen version of Stanta Claus is Coming to Town is equally crappy.

    Here's a funny story.

As a kid, I never head the John Lennon Song of "Happy Christmas - War is Over". But in 1981, there was a commercial for Jamaican Tourism that ripped off that song (see below) and I saw that commercial a LOT.

So now, whenever I hear the John Lennon song, I immediately start thinking "Come back to Jamaica..... what's old is what's new...."
