That is my favorite "Christmas Love Song", but my favorite version is with James Taylor and Natalie Cole. My favorite Christmas hymn is "O, Come, All Ye Faithful". Here's a good version by Yolanda Adams. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wX0hDAAexZA&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wX0hDAAexZA&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
It most likey is. I haven't heard Redding's version, but I'm going to hunt it down because I've been listening to a lot of Otis lately. Lou Rawls just has a great voice for Christmas songs. Playing his "merry christmas, baby" album is a holiday must in my house.
I'm a big Hall & Oates fan for some reason. Also, Christmas in Hollis by Run DMC. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/juBEue3L4LE&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/juBEue3L4LE&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
O Holy Night - Josh Groban http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQWXfHzOKUU I'm not a particularly religious man but this version mists me up.

I cannot believe there has has not been a single mention of The Temptations singing "Silent Night", now that is a classic.

Anyone hear about The Isley Brothers releasing a Xmas album this year? Man I'm gonna go buy that after work!

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer - Gene Autry Frosty the Snowman - Gene Autry Holly Jolly Christmas - Burl Ives White Christmas - Bing Crosby White Christmas - The Drifters (a fun alternative to Bing) Rockin' around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee Here Comes Santa Claus - Doris Day Song for a Winter's Night - Sarah McLachlan (written by Gordon Lightfoot) Wintersong - Sarah McLachlan Carol of the Bells - George Winston the rest of George Winston's "December" CD You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch - Soundtrack to How the Grinch Stole Christmas Snow Miser - Soundtrack to The Year Without a Santa Claus Heat Miser - Soundtrack to The Year Without a Santa Claus Christmas Time Is Here - Vince Guaraldi Trio (Soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas) Skating - Vince Guaraldi Trio (Soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas) The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby Helms A guy named Michael Chertock did an amazing piano rendition of You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch. I absolutely loathe the Springsteen version of Santa Claus is Coming to town.
The most annoying christmas song rendition is by far Dixie Chix - Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer.. I think Jewel is on it too. Man that is horrible. Aside from it being accapella, they start making these "boingy boingy" sounds. It sounds so damn r****ded.
Agreed. And (as I said), the Springsteen version of Stanta Claus is Coming to Town is equally crappy.
Here's a funny story. As a kid, I never head the John Lennon Song of "Happy Christmas - War is Over". But in 1981, there was a commercial for Jamaican Tourism that ripped off that song (see below) and I saw that commercial a LOT. So now, whenever I hear the John Lennon song, I immediately start thinking "Come back to Jamaica..... what's old is what's new...." <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hvbRd8bHSaw&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hvbRd8bHSaw&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
