The one thing that bothered me about Galaxy is that the worlds are sometimes really, really small and as a result, the gameplay could be very linear at times. So in that respect, it took a step backwards from Mario 64 with the vast, free roaming gameplay. Not to say I didn't love Galaxy 1 cause I did. But Galaxy 2, I think took away some of the things I loved about the first and added things that I hated.
^ mario galaxy was a bit more linear you could say, but that was just the nature of the gameplay. It isnt necessarily a bad thing. Is a hard questing picking just one though. The first since it's the original. 3 because it was just awesome. Super Ninendo one was great. Mario 64 was revolutionary and mind blowing at the time. I think Sunshine is very underrated, personally. And finally, I thought Galaxy offered some of the most fun and interesting gameplay of them all.
See some people picking Mario Kart which is a good choice for the best games but idk if I would but it along a Super Mario game. Am I alone in that? I also feel the same about Mario Paint and Smash Bros. I love those game but I don't see them as Super Mario Games. Also I would put Super Mario Land 2 on the list. This along with the Game and Watch Gallery were the best damn games for Gameboy for me. And I swear to Christ if somebody picks other and says they loved Mario is Missing or Mario's Time Machine, I will track you down and......make you play them all the way through. Idk if it has ever been done. Mother suckers trying to make me learn while playing games.
I disagree, it's a very good game, but I think Donkey Kong is the best game ever. Mario Kart's actually probably my favorite, jumping through the waterfall.
Donkey Kong sucks! I think my favorite would be Mario 64. Followed by World and 3. 64 just sticks out to me so much more. I loved the free roaming style. I also loved Zelda on 64. Damn, I killed do much time on those games. I want my N64 back.
