    Manny,

In that other thread you wanted me to be rude to you - jokingly. I was just continuing the trend. I have been here 11 years and my humor cannot change.

Ah that is true. However, that was that thread not this one. Don't assume that I want you to do this all the time.

Believe me - if I want you to be an obnoxious ass to me, I'll ask!:)

    How about this:

Is there anyone that DOESN'T like Don Maclean - American Pie? This is probably my favorite song. The lyrics tell a great story and can be interpreted in many different ways, like most great author's work.

Dear God, is this a joke? Please tell me this is a joke. I'd pound rusty nails in my eardrums if it would stop that song from ever being played again.

    And they were singin'
My, my this here Anakin guy
    May be Vader someday later
Now, he's just a small fry.
He left his home, kissed his mother goodbye,
Saying soon I'm gonna be a Jedi.

    C'mon, sing along!

    :)

I don't know about being interpreted "many different ways". It was written for one specific incident...The day the music died...February 3, 1959.

You're just too good to be true,
Can't take my eyes off of you.
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much,
At long last love has arrived,
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true,
Can't take my eyes off of you.

Pardon the way that I stare,
    There's nothing else to compare,
    The sight of you leaves me weak;
There are no words left to speak.
But if you feel like I feel,
Please let me know that it's real.
You're just too good to be true,
Can't take my eyes off of you.

I love you baby, and if it's quite all right,
I need you, baby, to warm the lonely night.
I love you, baby, trust in me when I say:
Oh pretty, baby don't bring me down I pray,
Oh pretty baby, now that I've found you,
Stay and let me love you, baby, let me love you.

You're just too good to be true,
Can't take my eyes off of you.
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much,
At long last love has arrived,
And I thank God I'm alive.

You're just too good to be true,
Can't take my eyes off of you.

    I love you ...
baby, and if it's quite all right,
I need you baby, to warm the lonely night,
I love you, baby trust in me when I say:
    Oh pretty.....

I ain't mad at 'cha (And no, that is not one of my favorite songs although it is a good rap song).

No, just that you meant it when you responded and said negative things.
