Always been fascinated with naval history and warships in general. I remember the first Navy ship I ever toured with my Dad was the LPD U.S.S. Shreveport. Not only was it a cool warship, it was filled with Marines. They even painted my five year-old face in camo! My Dad worked on Phantom fighter jets (the greatest American warplane ever) and was a tech rep for the AWG-10 pulse doppler radar system for a few years before getting a job at an oil refinery in Pascagoula, MS.
