    Always heard the Remington 870 was the best bang for your buck ;)

    I don't own any guns. Some days I think I should get one for the house and other days it seems like a bad idea knowing we have kids. To keep the gun where the kids can't get to it would make it virtually useless for home defense. Of course, then I think "what if" someone broke in and the gun could have saved our lives. Then, I remember we have three large dogs who are all very alert and noisy when they think something is up. After that, I think "well if the dogs alert me and slow the person down I will have time to get the gun from it's secured location" and on and on and on.

    Can't make up my mind.

    They don't make em like that anymore. Don't pimp it out or try to refinish it. Leave it in it's natural condition without any modifications. If you must sell it, try to pass it on to a collector, instead of some moron who'll destroy it with "improvements".
