Yes 1a and 1b (kiss of death amazing!)

Last year was so hard to turn off the tv. So much drama, so much heart! Wish I could have teleported some bricks to knock Joey Crawford in the head for hollywooding the games!.

I have to say the 93-94 series...going down 0-2 and then having to travel to Phoenix everyone thought it was over for us. I mean, no one gave us a chance and the Choke City Labels were coming out again.

That was the birthplace of Clutch City if you recall. That was the series the defined our championships. That was the turnaround.

    From Choke to Clutch.

there's alot of tradition here (Rockets)
the Rockets had a player named "Olajuwon".

Take Tmac's best season ever (Orlando?) and try to comprehend what Olajuwon did in 1994.

    He won the MVP.
He won the Defensive player of the Year.
He won the NBA Finals MVP.

Basically, that will NEVER happen again in Rockets history unless some super hero arrives from the planet Krypton.

What kinda question is this? Members either vote for the 94-95 Suns series because we're old enough to remember the kiss of death or the younger members vote for last year.

I was only 10, but I will never forget hearing on the radio jim foley and gene peterson going wild at the end of that game 7. I get chills just thinking about it. I think the exuberant joy at that moment solidified my appreciation for not just basketball, but sports in general.

    1. 94-95 - Kiss of Death
    2. 93-94 - Maxwell gets hot after Choke City

There's no other correct answers people.

Definitely. Gene and Jim hold a special place in my heart. Bill Worrell (and Calvin) does too. And actually, so does Milo and Bill Brown/Jim Deshaies.

Houston's been blessed with some fantastic sports commentators. That's at least part of what makes Clyde so unbearable.

That was epic, that San Antonio loss on the LAST DAY of the season . . . homecourt was the difference in that Sonics series . . . could have been the first of 3 meetings with Sir Charles and possibly the one with his Airness.

Had we met the Bulls and beaten Mike, I wonder if he would have ever retired . . .

Kiss of Death was my favorite, followed by the series we finally beat Seattle. Oh how I hated Kemp and Detlef!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who loved it when we finally beat the Supersonics.

i really am just trying to forget that whole year. and i think kemp had already started his downward spiral.

it was all bittersweet since we lost our possible matchup with MJ to Utah..not only that but to a clutch 3. not only that but in the Summit.. and to add insult to injury, it was by Stockton. just a little too much to swallow. i remember thinking to myself, "this must be what phoenix fans felt when they lost to us."

    i would say:
    1. kiss of death
    2. last year. (Battier/Artest, AB rises, Scolandry doin work,Yao almost making it through without injury, and oh yeah, gettin past the 1st round for the first time in over a decade.

It's not listed, but I liked the '86 series against the Lakers. That year everyone was talking about the upcoming finals rematch between the Celtics and the Lakers. Houston ripped up that script taking the series on an incredible tip shot by Ralph Sampson. Also, Akeem burst on to the national scene by outplaying Jabbar. It is the series that first got me watching the NBA steady and the one that made me a Rocket's fan. I always wondered what would have happened if that team had lived up to its potential.

you got to give them a reason to believe!
plus those series were pretty damn good. Imagine if they had the replay rule on that last game vs San Antonio in 92-93

What's up with the 2009 series getting 20 more votes than the 1994 series? That's just weird.
