A lot of places I like have been mentioned, but here's a few I haven't seen (maybe didn't look hard enough)

Old time favorites: Kanomwan, Chez Nous

Recent meals that were better than average: Ibiza, Catalan (service was poor, but some dishes made up for it), Le Mistral, Linh's BBQ

My favorite place in town is Kasra on Westheimer and Gessner. Love the hummus

I can't believe no one has mentioned Frenchy's yet! The Scott St. location is definitely worth going out of your way for, and if you attend UH and don't go there at least once a week, well, you suck!

I finally tried Lankford's Grocery (on Waugh?) for lunch this year and it was everything everyone says. Best burger ever. I'm also voting for whichever presidential candidate proposes in '08 that Pappadeaux be made a national park. We simply can't risk that anything ever happens to it.
