They're not single recurring characters but Beck Bennett's "middle aged white guy who's losing control" and Heidi Gartner's "exasperated wife" roles are fantastic. Beck Bennett: Picture with Dad, Uncover Office Potty, Boop it, December to Remember Car Commercial, Pepsi Commercial. Heidi Gartner: SNL Heidi Gartner exasperated wife supercut Beck's "guy who just bought a boat' segments on Weekend Update were also great. EDIT* Guy who just bought a boat is actually Alex Moffat.
The driving thing is so weird. If someone asked a Houstonian where Galveston is, they'd probably say south. if they're feeling generous: southeast. A Californian would say "you take the 45 south, go over the causeway, hang a right at 61st street where the Verizon store is, then drive until you hit water...... don't try to cross back over the causeway at rush hour because its gonna be jaammmmed"
