Yanno, not all new music is crappy. It's just the new stuff played on MTV and the radio.

I forgot about Modest Mouse and Franz Ferdinand. Didn't Wilco's latest album come out this year?

It was alright but nothing like "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot".

My favorite CD was the only CD I purchased all year, and that CD was:

The Gourds - Blood of the Ram

I didn't like it. Pretty generic and passive. If they want to break into the mainstream, they're going to have to change their name, too.

Now let's all hope Sigur Ros releases the best album of next year. Failing that, the Decemberists.

Picked it up a few days ago, but haven't had the chance to give it a good listen yet. Putting it in the CD player now...

I don't think they want to break into the mainstream at all - that's why the album is so eclectic.

Kanye had my favorite album of the year by far. Great CD from start to finish. Em's CD is pretty good, but I haven't listened to it enough to really give my input on where it ranks yet.
