The best dumping book in the world is The Baseball Almanac.

Flip it open, see how Willie McCovey batted in 1967, make your deposit, and you're on your way.

We don't need the hardcopy of books these days to find reading material... all we need is a computer & interent connection...

As of right now... you can find almost everything in the Clutchcity BBS... so I guess the choice is obvious :D

    whenever...

as mentioned previously...the Hitchiker's guide books are hilarious..
and the LOTR books are great even after umpteen readings.
I have been re-reading the Amber books..
and for those that really enjoy comedic fantasy books, the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett are great.
    then some of the classics...
    the Dune books
    any Orwell (1984,Animal Farm..)
the Shannara series from Terry Brooks

    bathroom reading...

technology mags..Network World, E-Week, PC World
and if I'm in the middle of reading any other technical books when nature calls, I take em with me..

Carl Sagan - "Contact" is one of my favorite books. If you thought the movie was good (and even if you didn't), I think the book is amazing.

Exactly. Nothing makes time in the bathroom pass by more sweetly than a trip through baseball's past. My wife always makes fun of me for sitting in there reading "my stupid baseball book."
