Old topic but with a twist. Those of us in Houston know why. It's raining and my cubicle is right next to the window so my musical selections will be a little different today. What's your favorite CD to listen to on dark rainy days? Today I'm starting with Peter Gabriel - Up. Perhaps later I'll move on to some Coldplay and then maybe some Pink Floyd- Dark Side Of The Moon. What about you?
jazz music...coltrane in particular, for me. jazz music was MADE for rainy days. listening to a mix of news radio and Soko, "In November Sunlight" today.
you already said them... either of the coldplay albums. singles: travis-why does it always rain on me, blind melon-(that rain song... forgot). albums: bjork-homogenic, any radiohead album, pete yorn-music for the morning after, badly drawn boy-the hour of the bewilderbeast, alliyah-alliyah, natalie merchant-ophelia(sp?).
I don't really have a favorite rainy day cd, I just listen to the same stuff regardless. But some of the songs on Audioslave's cd sound like they were meant for the rain; that's a great cd to listen to in the rain.
Riders On The Storm - The Doors. Maybe the best ever. Riding the Storm Out - REO Speedwagon? Maybe not...
