I don't care too much for pizza, but I'm a gonna go with Bambolino's. And yes, considering it is/was a pizza chain in Houston, my vote counts. Anyone else recall the great Bambolino's? They still have one still open. http://www.yelp.com/biz/bambolinos-italian-kitchen-houston
Where can you eat Olé Pizza (my favorite because it's like 7-layer dip+hot sauce all in a pizza) Alfredo Pizza Regular Pizzas (pepperoni, meat, ham, etc.) Tabasco Sauce + Chicken Pizza Fresh Veggie Pizza (green pepper, tomato, onions, mushroom) and finish it off with Cinnamon rolls, apple cobbler pizza, brownies, all in one sitting? CiCi's, b*tches.
Depending on the location its pretty hard to find a better deal than the Little Caesar's 5 dollar Large Pep. Back in California, Dominoes was good and Pizza Hut was terrible, but it seems to be the other way around out here in Texas. So as far as taste goes, I'm going to have to agree with Papa Johns.
I get Little Caesar's pretty often, but that's only because it's literally 2 minutes from my apartment and it's $5 for a large hot n' ready. That's hard to beat when I'm very hungry and in a hurry. I would rank it pretty low on quality of taste...dead last in terms of the big chains, in fact. It definitely depends on the location, though. There's a significant difference from the one I live by now and the one across town where I used to live.
I figure "favorite" factors in not only taste but other things (like price) I'm going to have to agree with Swoly, for the price, having that kind of variety is just a fat or cheap man's haven...
Location can be a huge factor. For instance, the Taco Bell closest to me is crap, but the Taco Bell out in Channelview closest to where I work is the best Taco Bell I have ever had.
Of those, Papa John's is the only one I can't stand. Whatever they put in their sauce (tastes like cups and cups of sugar) really sours me on their pizza. Also, they have some sort of weird mystery cheese that absolutely refuses to re-melt if you put it in a microwave. It's like concrete that sets after the first time you have it. It doesn't taste bad, but that really puts me off their pizza. As for best taste, I go with Domino's. However, they are a little expensive compared to other places and as moes mentioned, the $5 Hot N' Ready pepperoni can't be beat as far as pizza value goes. So that is usually what I go with when I have pizza.
Okay, the poll says "Favorite Chain" and lots of you are busting out with indivudual restaurants (or 2-3 locations). Of course those are better than chains Favorite chain: Gatti's by a mile
The Pizza Shack (Awesome NY Style Pizza in Montgomery County) Double Daves (Buffalo Chicken pizza w/Bacon is awesome) Brothers (Good greasy pizza)
I agree. Is it so hard? Pizza Hut for it's pan pizza. It's as close to a Chicago deep dish as it gets...which isn't saying much but it's better than nothing.
Taco Bell suffers from quality inconsistency as bad as any place I can think of. The one on Mangum is awesome. Everything is always stuffed with plenty of ingredients and the tortillas are warm and soft. In comparison, the one on Shepherd always gets my order wrong and skimps on meat. I simply won't go to that one anymore.
I used to think so too but sometimes the 'Ready' part of the process is just skipped over. Seriously, TWICE i got a pizza from there that had warm dough instead of crust.
California Pizza Kitchen Fuzzy's Mazzio's for the buffet Imo's Pizza when I was in St. Louis Pappa John's is there a more disgusting topping then anchovies
I've been going through a weird habit lately with ordering pizza with pineapple, I've been adding it to pizzas where it doesn't really belong.. Peperoni and mushroom, add pineapple to it.. Veggie lovers, add pineapple to it.. Meat lovers, add pineapple to it.. The works, add pineapple to it.. I never thought I liked pineapple so much until I started doing this..
